With its 5 hamlets, Réallon extends over an altitude of nearly 2,000m between 989m and 2,993m (at Mourre Froid) at the gateway to the Ecrins National Park, near the Serre-Ponçon lake. The village is known to be an important archaeological site with the discovery of a bronze age ornament, known as the Truquets ornament and now exhibited at the Musée muséum départemental des Hautes Alpes in Gap. Formerly turned to pastoral agriculture, the economy of Réallon has benefited from the manna of white gold with the creation of a ski resort. Numerous hikes in the middle and high mountains. Splendid panoramas on the lake of Serre-Ponçon.
