A village that grew with the construction of the Serre-Ponçon dam at the end of the 1950s and the swallowing up of the Ubaye commune. Best known for its charming little lake and its Roman bridge dating from the 13th century, a magnificent structure suspended over the Ubaye, Le Lauzet comes alive in the summer with the start of white water sports. Le Lauzet is especially known for its hikers who, after about 3 hours of effort, find a little corner of paradise with the site of Dormillouse. You can admire its three mountain lakes. From the plateau at nearly 3,000 m, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Serre-Ponçon lake and the Ubaye valley.
