Arronnes is a rural commune whose charming village is rich in small heritage of character. Its name would have a pre-Celtic origin and would designate the place where a big river (Ar) meets a smaller river (rone). Arronnes is indeed crossed by two rivers which meet there: the Sichon and the Vareille. The village of Arronnes has developed around the Cluniac church Saint-Léger, of Romanesque style. Many places are to be discovered around the building, like the Gamet House, also called the Prior's House, dating from the end of the Middle Ages.
