Welcome to the shoe country: Buironfosse, the Germanic word Bur, which means a strong castle. In the th century, the municipality was summed up in a strong castle, built in wood, planted on a motte and surrounded by a pit. Unfortunately, this castle, which could have been a curiosity to visit, was destroyed by Jean of Luxembourg in 1423, then replaced by a church, which also was razed. The current church was built in 1868 after the motte was ironed out. Don't hesitate to go to the Sabotier shop! The city was renowned for its know-how in wood work.
