Le Perrier is "a village at the water's edge". It is currently the only commune on the Vendée coast to have been awarded the Station Verte label, thanks to the importance of its marshes and the enhancement of its natural spaces, which occupy 100% of the commune's surface area. The town of Le Perrier is an island surrounded by canals, the étiers. The commune made its mark during the Vendée wars at the end of the 18th century, as well as during the reign of Louis XIII in the 17th century. With a focus on ecotourism, yawl and horse-drawn carriage rides during the summer season allow you to discover the rich flora and fauna of the Marais Breton Vendéen.
