Since 2016, Tuffé is a delegated commune of the new commune of Tuffé-Val-de-la-Chéronne, next to Saint-Hilaire-le-Lierru. It is a charming village of about 1,500 inhabitants, appreciated for its lake with a leisure base with water activities and the possibility of fishing, for its marked hiking trails, hiking and mountain biking. The commune is also known for its abbey, but also for the Transvap, its tourist railway, steam and old railways. Added to the heritage is the Château de Chéronne, a five-century-old building, where weddings, seminars, yoga courses, etc. are held. The Pays du Perche Sarthois has just published a guide to this area in its collection of heritage discovery trails.
