In a vast plain with a gentle relief, Montech is made up of an aggregate of hamlets. Over the centuries, vineyards, weaving, tailors and dressmakers have kept the town alive. Today, the Canal des Deux-Mers, the two classified churches, the water slope, the kiosk, its carillon with 17 bells, the half-timbered houses and the Agre forest are the main interests of this unavoidable tourist stop. On the edge of the economic lung of the Midi-Pyrénées region, of the Toulouse-Albi-Montauban triangle, the town has experienced an impressive demographic development in the last few years. Indeed, its population has almost doubled in 20 years.
