Travel Guide Cabanac

On the left bank of the Arros river, a tributary of the Adour, Cabanac is a green, agricultural commune (corn cultivation) in the plain, covered with a beautiful oak forest on the slopes to the west. A rural village, Cabanac has nearly 300 inhabitants. Close to Tarbes and its stud farms, Cabanac is home to a high-quality establishment run by Éric Pouey where Arab and Anglo-Arab horses bred in the region are broken in and worked on. A conversion for this 70-hectare family farm where dairy cows were traditionally raised. The horses in boarding school are fed with the cereals produced on the farm.
