On the left bank of the Arros river, a tributary of the Adour, Cabanac is a green, agricultural commune (corn cultivation) in the plain, covered with a beautiful oak forest on the slopes to the west. A rural village, Cabanac has nearly 300 inhabitants. Close to Tarbes and its stud farms, Cabanac is home to a high-quality establishment run by Éric Pouey where Arab and Anglo-Arab horses bred in the region are broken in and worked on. A conversion for this 70-hectare family farm where dairy cows were traditionally raised. The horses in boarding school are fed with the cereals produced on the farm. And if you come to Cabanac around June 24, you will have the chance to admire the great Saint-Jean bonfire in the municipal park, according to tradition.
