Created from the merger of the villages of Quint and Fonsegrives, this commune forms the junction between the peri-urban activity of eastern Toulouse and the Lauragais region. The name Quint comes from the Gallo-Roman quintus, the5th milestone from Toulouse. Watered by the Saune river, Quint-Fonsegrives bears the marks of a very ancient human occupation. But its history is rooted in the trade in woad, a dye plant whose blue color ensured the prosperity of many of the region's noble families. Castles and mansions bear witness to this prosperity. Follow the Route du Pastel, which starts here, to find out more.
