Situated at the crossroads of two ancient routes, this small village is very well known to pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela, and a poem says that "all those who have passed through it have loved it". Even if you are not one of them, you will find it hard not to fall under the charm of its panorama. Set on the ridges, it dominates the hillsides with its beautiful scattered houses, its heart being formed by a splendid church that seems to protect its lands with benevolence. It is of pure architectural beauty, rebuilt in the 12th century by the Antonine monks on a base dating from 1088, perhaps built by the Templars.
