Originally, this charming village was built on a hillside overlooking the Avance and Argenton valleys. In the heart of today's village, you'll find the Gothic church of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption, built between the 14th and 15th centuries. The Saint-Pierre de Bouglon-Vieux church is Romanesque and dates back to the 12th century. Bouglon-Vieux was the old village. In the center of Bouglon stands the Manoir Saint-Louis, built on the foundations of a former Templar house and hospital dating from the 11th century. Since 2008, it has hosted guests and artists' exhibitions. Note the bread oven next to the town hall.
