Nestled in the greenery on the left bank of the Save, Cazaux-Savès is a pretty little village, with a beautiful heritage and a very preserved environment. Its name comes from the Gascon word casau, vegetable garden, enclosure or domain, and human occupation is proven since the Neolithic period. The river is omnipresent and contributes to the charm of the place. A waterfall animates the banks of Save not far from the church. The village is especially known for the magnificent castle of Caumont, which is open to the public. Built by Pierre Nogaret de la Valette, favorite of Henri III, it is the cradle of the Castelbajac family, who still occupy it
