Occupied since the Gallo-Roman period, Aubiet keeps from this period the villa of La Toulette and the Togatus, a marble bust without head. As early as 1158, the village existed under the name of Castellum Albineti and took its name from a place covered with white flowers or foliage. The last castle town in Armagnac, it was a stage on the road to Santiago. The War of Religions and the Revolution did not spare it and in 1789 its castle simply disappeared. Its numerous dovecotes, the beautiful cross of Saint-Taurin, its majestic church as well as the bell of the deaf make it a charming destination in the heart of an enchanting greenery.
