Plainfaing is located in the beautiful mountainous cirque of the Hautes-Chaumes. Take advantage of the numerous walks, health trails... One of the most charming regions of the Hautes-Vosges. There are many possibilities for walks, both towards Alsace and on the Vosges side. Two castles are built in the village: the Malaide and the Poutro (19th century). To visit: the Confiserie des Hautes-Vosges. A few kilometres from Plainfaing, in the direction of Alsace, is the Col du Bonhomme ski resort (altitude from 830 m to 1 234 m). It is equipped with nine ski lifts serving 14 slopes and 40 km of cross-country ski trails.
