The Thil region, rich in iron ore, bears a heavy burden of history due to its involvement in the Second World War. The Thil camp was built in 1944, and in May of the same year welcomed the first deportees, tasked with developing the Tiercelet mine and then manufacturing armaments. Today, a memorial trail leading to the crypt, which pays homage to the deportees, is accessible to all, making it a duty to remember during your visit. Thil is also marked by its many religious buildings, such as the parish church of L'Assomption-de-la-Vierge and the Sainte-Claire chapel in Sainte-Claire.
