Situated in the heart of the département, this village is part of the canton of Uzès. With its old houses, weathered facades and centuries-old church, Saint-Chaptes is a village full of character. Dominating the horizon, its castle, listed as an architectural heritage site since 1988, once the proud guardian of the village, stands majestically despite the marks of the past and the ravages of history. Its two imposing towers, although partially destroyed during the French Revolution, still keep watch over the surrounding area. This building steeped in history remains inaccessible to visitors most of the time, except on Heritage Days.
