Aujac has fewer than 200 inhabitants and an exceptional heritage: the 12th-century church of Saint-Martin and its combed bell tower, the Château du Cheylard, which served as the setting for Arnaud des Pallières' film Michaël Kohlhaas, and the Peyric clède in the hamlet of Le Bouschet, now renovated and back in business, tell the story of chestnut growing in the Cévennes. This charming village is the starting point for many beautiful hikes, both in the valley and in the mountains. The small village of Bonneveaux, 5 minutes away by car, is one of the prettiest in the region, with a remarkable view and many picturesque, enchanting paths. A corner of the Cévennes to discover!
