Nestled in a wooded valley of the Aude, this ancient medieval castrum has retained its circulade aesthetic. Although there are few traces of its ramparts, the boulevards of today follow the old routes. Your steps will probably lead you near the church of Sainte-Marie (13th and 19th centuries) and the Château de Védilhan, a building emblematic of the opulence of the wine industry at the end of the 19th century. However, it is 2 km from the centre that you will find the most significant monument of the village. It is the Saint-Laurent chapel, a pre-Romanesque building built between the 6th and 9th centuries and listed as a historical monument since 1966.
