If the history of this village is ancient, few traces attest it. But according to the research of Abbé Lebeuf in the 18th century, its origins go back to Philippe Auguste who reigned from 1180 to 1223. Parriniacum, Peroignacum, Parreigny, Paroigny, then Périgny-en-Brie until the Revolution and Périgny-sur-Yerres since 1896, this small Briard village with a wine-growing past has kept its character. Moreover, its center is classified in the inventory of the picturesque sites of the Department. You can not only enjoy its pretty streets but also discover the castle of Périgny-le-Petit from the 18th century and the church Saint-Leu-et-Saint-Gilles rebuilt in the 16th century.
