Not to be confused with Fleury-la-Forêt! Fleury-sur-Andelle was only a small village on the road from Paris to Rouen until the 19th century. But the village became the heart of the textile industry in the Andelle Valley at that time, with an intense industrial activity, now in decline. The numerous brick buildings, including the monumental church and the water mills that you will discover during your walk, are a proof of this. Don't miss, a few kilometers away, the abbey of Fontaine-Guérard, and the spectacular remains of the cathedral spinning mill of Radepont, unique in its kind (cannot be visited).
