On the Côte d'Or border, located in the Finage plain, this small village is crossed by two streams: La and Le. The place was already occupied in ancient times, since it was on the Roman track that connected Besançon to Autun. It is successively the houses of Burgundy and Chalon which reign on these lands, at the margins of the kingdom for centuries. In the 3 000 th and th centuries, the village was important, with close to inhabitants. They are barely 1 600 today. If you go through this, watch the pediment of the church of the th century. You will read "Freedom, Equality, fraternity" and "Vive la République". Here are some words rarely engraved on such a building!
