Situated between 870 and 1,220 meters above sea level, Foncine-le-Haut is a resort suited to both sports tourism and family vacations. In winter, cross-country ski trails criss-cross the commune and join those of the Val de Mouthe. Snowshoe trekkers have access to 65 kilometers of marked trails. Downhill skiing facilities complete the winter range. In summer, it's time to put on your hiking boots or your fishing rod and discover the lakes, rivers and waterfalls that are sure to delight you. Two themed trails have been set up: a botanical trail and a 3-kilometre sports trail.
