Ailleville, located on the edge of the Dawn Valley, at the base of a steep hillside, has in addition to its xiith century church, which unfortunately has undergone realterations, a beautiful old castle Henri IV (xviie) with four square angles and a beautiful dochcraft. Although it is not accessible to the public, it deserves a small stop. Sold by auction in 2016, it is the jewel of a fairly mundane commune. The small lace whose frame dates from the sixteenth century and the roof of the sacristy have been renovated. Around the lai, stone sarcophagi were discovered. They included jewelry, a dagger and two Roman bronzes.
