Another small potential stopover, the village of Arrentire preserves the traces of a medieval castle with double ditches, curves and a nice tower. Of course, you will need imagination, because the moss has been rebutted, but it is there that in 1371, Jean d 'Arrentier, the mulch of the king and the earl of Bar, arrested the countess Yolande de Bar on the order of Charles V and he kept her captive. The residence, now private, is listed in the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments. Arrentier also produces wines, including black pinots. Common on the Champagne Route in 2016, it is also the place of Agriculture Day in summer.
