Neuville-sur-Seine, built along the Seine valley, is situated on the Jurassic limestone plateau that the river and its tributaries have carved out of picturesque valleys. Since the Middle Ages, vine growing has been the dominant activity of the villagers, who live in a fortified village (as the names of the streets show: rue des Murs, rue des Fossés...). Today, over an area of 1,442 ha, the commune has 325 ha of appellation vines. A small visit is essential to the church of the Nativity of the Virgin (12th century), and the chapel of Sainte-Philomène. A village full of flowers (4 flowers), it regularly organizes a race with about twenty drivers.
