(Gyé-sur-Seine) A strategic point between the Duchy of Burgundy and the county of Champagne, Gyé was once defended by a castle of vestiges from the th to the th century: a vaulted cellar that is improperly known as "guard room" and a square flag. It was in this castle that born Jeanne de Navarre in 1273. The last héritière of Champagne, she will bring it in the trash of Philippe the Bel, her husband. The vineyards have been the main economic resource of the community for several centuries. More than 200 hectares are placed on the champagne route.
