Famous for its melon and duck fair (15 August) since the 1930s, this town bordered by the Vienne also has the church of Saint-Maurice, built in the 12th century. Its originality? The bell tower is square. At Soulangé (3 km to the south-east), Gallo-Roman remains have been discovered, bearing witness to a very ancient occupation.
