PALLADIAN ROUTES
Read moreVicenza and its Palladian villas have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994. The historic heart of the city comprises 23 monuments and 3 villas, located just on the outskirts. In 1996, Unesco added a further 21 Palladian villas, inspired by the architect Andrea Palladio, to this unique heritage. These Renaissance treasures are now part of the region's tourist routes: Palladian Routes offers a variety of guided tours and itineraries lasting one, two or three days, on foot, by van or by e-bike.
PALAZZO DELLA RAGIONE
Read moreThe Palazzo della Ragione is one of eight buildings in the heart of the historic city that make up the Cycles of 14th-century frescoes in Padua, a Unesco World Heritage Site since 2021. The palace, built in 1218, symbolizes the power and might of the municipality of Padua. The walls of the huge Great Hall are covered with frescoes painted by Giotto in the early 14th century. You can also admire a 6-metre-high wooden horse, built in 1446, as well as a reproduction of Foucault's pendulum, since 2006.
FLY VENICE
Read moreFlying over one of the world's most beautiful cities by helicopter is a dream for many, and that's exactly what local company FlyVenice is offering. Silvia Rigon and her team are ready to take off from the tarmac of Nicelli airport on the Lido. The aim: to show tourists and business travelers the Serenissima and the lagoon from the air. These aerial escapades last between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on your wishes and budget. They are captured in photos, leaving you with even more unforgettable memories.
SPIAGGIA DES BAINS
Read moreSpiaggia Des Bains, a three-minute bike ride from the city center, is one of the Lido's iconic beaches. The beach is bathed by the Adriatic Sea and has an extremely large stretch of sand that is ultra clean and supervised daily by lifeguards. It is the ideal place to come and relax with your family for the day, especially since it has a small, modern and fun open-air bar. The wooden deckchairs and the 200 private cabins, arranged in a meticulous way, row by row, facing the sea, are what give the place its vacation feel.
CYCLES DE FRESQUES DU XIVE SIÈCLE
Read moreThe XIVᵉ century fresco cycles in Padua have been a Unesco World Heritage Site since 2021. These frescoes, of inestimable artistic and historical value, were painted by the major painters of the period (Giotto, Guariento di Arpo, Giusto de Menabuoi, Altichiero da Zevio, Jacopo Avanzi and Jacopo da Verona) for various sponsors, in eight religious and secular buildings, located in the heart of the city. The art of the mural fresco is part of a universal value system, and it was Giotto who gave it its letters of nobility. His pictorial technique was later reproduced, notably during the Renaissance, by Michelangelo. Unesco describes it as "a totally new way of representing narrative in painting, with new spatial perspectives influenced by advances in the science of optics and a new ability to represent human figures, in all their characteristics, including feelings and emotions. These innovations mark a new era in the history of art, producing an irreversible change of direction". The multi-site collection of extraordinarily beautiful murals, known as Padova Urbs Picta, represents a unique heritage.
The eight sites of Padova Urbs Picta: Cappella degli Scrovegni, Chiesa dei Santi Filippo e Giacomo agli Eremitani, Palazzo della Ragione, Cappella della Reggia Carrarese, Battistero della Cattedrale, Basilica e convento del Santo, Oratorio di San Giorgio, Oratorio di San Michele.

BAC ART STUDIO / GALLERY
Read moreLac Art Studio is an art gallery specialized in the sale of colours and fortes. These engravings represent, in general, Venice's views. The most famous graveur in Venice is Cadore. Its engravings are now an integral part of local heritage. Since 1977, this artist has been looking at the city and communicating it through the acid, the metal plate and the colour of the aquatint. Surprising clear-obscure, light, transparency… he has been able with genius to recreate the Venetian soul, light, atmosphere and atmosphere. At Lac Art you will find these small works of art at relatively affordable prices (around 100 € for an engraving of 30 cm per 50 cm). You can also choose very beautiful postcards from the works of the same artist. It will change some of the usual postcards (yet deliciously kitsch, we must admit). However, the engravings do not have the monopoly of exposure and sale at the gallery of the Bac Art Studio. It also contains work of other types: paintings, photos, photos developed on paper, sculptures… Venice does not have a monopoly of subjects… The staff is not often friendly, but when you are under the charm of a work of art, you adapt it. The vast collection of impressions is therefore worth a small visit, especially if you go to the Guggenheim Museum: The gallery is on the right side of the road leading to this temple of modern art.
