The house where Goldoni (1707-1793) was born is located in a 15th century palazzo in a flamboyant gothic style. The creator ofopera buffa, but also the father of many social satires, lived in this sumptuous setting for his first twelve years. Today, his house houses a museum dedicated to his work. It is an enveloping place, out of time, a universe that brilliantly highlights one of the great artistic personalities of Venice. The house also houses a center for theatrical studies.
