The best restaurants Rhône-Alpes

Futé has often regretted that the Place Ambroise Courtois is not much frequented during other occasions other than traditional market. A new terrace opening onto the Villa Lumière and a new address offering us a good reason to change our habits and to go on this side of the square to discover the kids (Les Gamins). Let's bear in mind that, during our visit in summer, everything seemed not to be well in their right place yet - especially in the kitchen - but the good will of young people was pleasing to see - especially the service which offered us a glass of cider to compensate a prolonged waiting time. An address to follow, but nice intentions which can be noticed first by the reading of a menu written on school notebook paper displaying many kinds of homemade cakes and pancakes made with good products. On the table of honour, the "best specialities" and recommendations of the Kids, such as this "butter/sugar/lemon" with good salt crystals of a Breton butter. Several ciders, a Breton Saint-Dove beer, an excellent coffee by Voisin and craft café from Pedone. Verdict: can still make progress, but a good start on the right track for the kids who give new lease of life for place a bit sleepy. Cheers! 

A good meal at a reasonable price is what we promise this new restaurant, located just two steps from the Comédie de la Comédie. An attractive offer, offered by an affordable formula. The decoration of the two rooms is rather rudimentary and the reception of some team members is sometimes not the warmest. Once installed, you can enjoy a wide choice of sushi, makis or skewers and the restaurant even offers a few dishes with noodles or rice. If you are looking for a place to eat Japanese with friends or family, remember the address because, despite some flaws, the Sushi Ren has a will, a varied menu and a quality food. However, please do not waste because any dish ordered and not consumed will be charged.

On the Place Voltaire, colourful flower pots on a beautiful workbench that has become a table to share, vegetables that grow around a nice terrace and an Assiette sur la Place that invites us to return if the weather is not part of the game. Inside, a bistro (the tables, the chairs, the friendly atmosphere), a bouchon (the souvenirs that adorn the walls and the small library), a restaurant (the quality of the cuisine) make up a Lyon set with a "girlier" small, cosy corner under the lamp in the window. In short, it is as nice as friendly, a true universe where everyone naturally finds their place. As for the cuisine, a lovely chef who enjoys simmering delicious dishes, like this risotto - a specialty of the house - so delicate to prepare. Seasonal and quality products with, for example, divine Italian truffles generously put on penne in this summer, a treat! Short but "dense" menu with, always in this summer, beautiful and large salads, the famous creamy risotto and " freshly roasted" red-mullet fillets (a wonder), an excellent beef tartare and Lyon specialties with a vinegar chicken thigh or a hot sausage in winemaking way, without forgetting the various forms of ravioles and the suggestions of the day on the slate. Cheese platter served with a fig and walnut jam before the mango mascarpone cream, meringue chips as a homemade dessert. Service as friendly as smiling to spend good moments that will happily prolong in the evening around a tapas dish and a good glass of wine. A nice address to share.
