Less than a month after the Forêt de la Forêt on July 12 th, the Jogging Club de Saint-Hilaire-de-Laugh comes back with the Forest St. Marathon, which will take place on Sunday, August 2nd, 2015. In Vendée this year, the summer is definitely under the spotlight! But do not let you impress by the 21 km of the main test: The event reserved for runners less trained a nice alternative of 7 km, on a shaded route along the forest. More excuses: to your trainers!

On Sunday, August 10 th, the municipality of Saint-Georges-le-Gaultier will take on the rhythm of the Strides Valley, a 10,5 km nature race alternating between roads and countryside. At the programme, a first loop in the village village, then a second along the Vaudelle and including the passage of the Cross of the Cross to the 6 paths. In total, it is a 170 m gap that awaits the participants. Would you like to add a bit of physical training to your summer vacation? Put yourself in the shoes too, and be part of the 200 athletes expected that day!

Tariff: 6 €, or 8 € on site.

If it is still too early to launch the famous Boussay semester test, which will be held on August 26 in the commune and its surroundings, you will be able to take part, less experienced runners, that you will also be able to take part in the event with a less ambitious 10.3 km stroll. On Sunday, August 23rd, the municipality of Saint-Germain-le-Guillaume will put sport into honour. Forty-five athletes will be expected on that day to participate in Strides Germanaises, a 10 km test in six loops in the centre of the village. You live in the corner and want to add a competitive dimension to your physical training? It seems that the opportunity is perfect! So put the trainers together and take part in this convivial event!

Good news for walking enthusiasts: the Vendée is busy this summer! So much so that on 9 August, if you live Les Sables-d'Olonne or La Roche-sur-Yon, you will have to choose between the Beaches fautaises to La Fault-sur-Mer, and Strides riezaises in Saint-Hilaire-de-Laugh! Joggers on Sunday, perhaps you will feel more comfortable on one of the courses of this second event: on flat roads in the marsh, they reserve a distance of 7,8 or 11,7 km. And why not place the summer under the sign of sport? In Vendée this year, you will have only the embarrassment of choice! On August 14 th, it will be Vaire's turn to take on his sporting attire! The town will welcome the Sympathique, a 10 km walk on a hilly route. Alternating between roads and sandy roads, it gives you beautiful views over this little end of France, but you can also sweat blood and water. Grass runners will also find their happiness, thanks to the three children's tests scheduled during the event (1 km, 2 km and 6,8 km). To everyone his challenge!

Ideal for those who doubt their sense of orientation, this green lane between Saint-Saturnin, La Milesse and Aigné is easily identifiable without map. You will therefore have the pleasure of walking without worrying about your itinerary! A hyphen between the commercial zone north of Le Mans and the three villages, it offers sportsmen and hikers quiet green corners and a secure route. It is a pity that it is badly served by public transport from the city…

On April 5 th, the municipality of Gorron will be on the rhythm of Strides Gorronaises, a popular sporting event with several walking races. The program? 1, 2, 3, 6 or 10 kilometres to travel on an urban circuit. 150 participants are expected again this year; put the trainers and sail: take part in this convivial event! Rewards will be awarded to all arrivals, and no matter how important the ranking, remember that the important thing is to participate!

April 6 th 2014 will take place the 15 ^th edition of the 10 km of Change. As every year, the event will bring together passionate, amateur or confirmed athletes: almost 650 athletes are expected this time again! Brand FFA, the race allows FFA to qualify for the French championships. That would put pressure almost right? And yet the festivities are still taking place in a she atmosphere, and everyone can participate! Only, between friends or family, and if you also embark?

Saint-Herblain brings sport to honor at the end of March: on that day, 18 races animate the streets and surroundings of the commune, with the aim of promoting the many green spaces conducive to physical training. So the program: trails, bike and run, children's races, roller hiking, hiking, hiking or cycling tours… A wide choice, in short, that you cannot find shoes at your feet! As every year, for 22 years, the event will bring together passionate, amateur or confirmed athletes: more than 400 athletes are expected this time! In the programme: three races of 2,5 km, 5 km and 10 km, and a children's race for grass runners; also a pedestrian radonnée according to 2 circuits of 8 and 17 km. Rewards will be awarded to the best, but above all don't forget: the important thing is to participate!

In its race through France, the sports and Solidarity event Odyssea stops in Nantes in mid-March. The 2017 edition brought together 63 800 participants on the streets of the city of Dukes to run against breast cancer: the majority of the funds collected are indeed transferred to the Western Cancérologie Institute of Western René, as well as to the Loire-Atlantic Committee of the National League against Cancer. For the passion of the race on foot or for an act committed, put the trainers together and start to attack these 5 little kilometers!

On 9 March 2014, the municipality of Roëzé-sur-Sarthe will host the passionate sailing enthusiasts around two nature tests. 5 or 10 kilometres, choose the course that suits you best and join the 330 participants in this user-friendly challenge! Each route will consist mainly of campaign paths, and no major difficulty will slow you down. A lot will be distributed to all athletes, and a draw will come close to the festivities.

The Parc des Expositions de Saumur is a new exhibition and event center located five minutes from downtown Saumur, on the banks of the Loire River. With its 2,600 m² structure, it can accommodate up to 2,600 people. This multi-purpose space hosts a wide range of events, including conventions, seminars, trade shows, concerts and shows. The park also boasts a 20,000 m² outdoor area, with a landscaped 460-space parking lot. The Parc des Expositions de Saumur is a must for events in the region.

In 2020, it will take place in semi-night-time, with a departure at 7:30 pm to watch the sunset and party until midnight! The origin of this type of event is inspired by Holi, a Hindu festival also called the festival of colours. This is a 5 kilometre race 0% competition, 0% time trial, 100% fun! Launched in 2020, Angevin's first festival dedicated to the geek universe immediately found its audience. Over 10,000 visitors every year! A major celebration organized by volunteers, 10,000 spectators flock to the village for a festive evening with concerts, a fireworks display and a fair day. The 2023 edition featured Keen'V and stars from the 1980s! In April, the Nantes Marathon des Ormeaux invites you to challenge yourself over 42.195 km through the city's architectural gems. A recurring event for over 40 years, the ^42nd Salon des Collectionneurs de l'île de Noirmoutier will be held on April¹, in the commune of L'Épine. Prior registration is required if you have treasures to sell. Admission is free. Visitors to the stalls will find coins and banknotes, postcards, champagne capsules, miniature vehicles, toys, books, watches, medals, stamps, broad beans....

Another race that brings people together on the island, other than the famous Foulées du Gois, is the Trail de Barbâtre. For the record, on the island of Noirmoutier, the commune of Barbâtre is linked to the mainland by the famous Passage du Gois. The program includes three main races between dunes, forests and beach, a 21 km trail with 150 m D+, a 14 km loop with 100 m D+ and a 2 loop of 7 km accessible to all. 2 kids' races of 1 and 2 km complete the day. Every August, the Port de Morin Festival takes place in the village of L'Épine on the island of Noirmoutier. Organized by the Association du Port de Morin, the event features a variety of activities starting at 3 p.m., with numerous free stands, a meal under marquees, musical entertainment in other marquees, including sea chanteys, free games for children, sea walks and, in the evening, a free dance with live band and fireworks courtesy of the municipality.

As in 2022, a new edition of the National Laser 4000 (sailing race) will take place on September 14 and 15 on Plage des Dames. The Laser 4000 is a modern dinghy named after the shipyard that created it, the Laser shipyard. To celebrate its tenth anniversary, the Festival des Sciences will be entitled "10 ans de passions! Organized by the "Les Sciences et nous" association, it takes place in the commune of Noirmoutier-en-l'île.
