The "Grande Parade" has a very heroic feel to it, presenting the first protagonists of the legendary 24-hourendurance race. Specialists such as Henri Pescarolo, Graham Hill and Mario Andretti have also previously taken part. More recently, Jacques Villeneuve, Sébastien Bourdais and Sébastien Loeb took part in the exhibition. There's something exciting about being able to get up close and personal with all these people. The parade also celebrates three drivers in particular, who are presented with a trophy: the one who takes pole position in qualifying, the one who achieves the best lap time and the inevitable "Rookie", i.e. the competitor discovering the Le Mans scene for the very first time. Founded in 1979, the Commune Libre du Vieux-Mans Plantagenêt association has for many years brought together members committed to preserving, safeguarding and promoting the architectural and cultural heritage of the old town and its districts. Among the events on offer is "Le Vieux-Mans au bout du pinceau" (Old Mans at the end of a paintbrush), a summer event that reflects this desire to put heritage into perspective. The aim is to create a graphic or pictorial work within the perimeter of the old town. For the first time in 2017, a garage sale was held at the same time as this event. The Festival of the White Country takes place from 7 July to 8 July 2012 in the Quartier neighbourhood in La Baule. It has a Celtic parade of children's groups and a show in the green theatre of the Dryades Park. It is a very beautiful party that recalls that the Pays de la Loire is among the five departments of historical Brittany. Access is free for all weekend animations.

The Village of Initiatives has presented projects around engagement, volunteering or mobility, in partnership with help projects.

For more than 40 years, Lavaré has celebrated the storming of the Bastille with a parade of the Revolution with music and period costumes, Lavaréan games, dinner dances with an orchestra, a sound and light show, the burning of the Bastille and fireworks.

A major celebration organized by volunteers, 10,000 spectators flock to the village for a festive evening with concerts, a fireworks display and a fair day. The 2023 edition featured Keen'V and stars from the 1980s! The event is organized by the Comité des fêtes de Tuffé, an association founded in 1949, which also organizes the Concours de la chanson, lotos, the fête du 14 Juillet and other bric-a-brac events.
