What a pleasure it is to walk along the towpath of a river! The setting is so bucolic that you almost forget you're exercising... Available on foot or by bike, the Mayenne trail takes the form of a Voie Verte (Green Way) covering some 100 kilometers, mostly in Mayenne and to a lesser extent in Maine-et-Loire. Departing from the commune of Mayenne, it stretches as far as Lion-d'Angers, serving a dozen towns along the way. Castles, locks and picturesque villages punctuate your strides or pedal strokes. If you're a local cyclist, you've just found a fantastic playground!

Nature is Bike is the only festival of its kind dedicated to gravel in Europe. For this^4th edition, from June 14 to 16, 2024, the village will take place in the enchanting natural setting of Lac de Maine. It will host the gravel and adventure bike show, a forum and numerous events. Participants will be offered 7 routes: the Gravel Loire Legend, starting in Angers, with its 500 kms of track, as well as festive "rides" open to the general public, such as the "Angers guinguette". New: Bikepacking, 280 km of cycling and bivouac!

In the shadow of the long path of hâlage of Mayenne, this km Green Lane is (too) often unknown. It's a pity, because it's a lot shorter than its big sister, it is a very good option for the athletes who need to see the end of their journey to stay motivated! Set on the right-hand side of the old railway line, the shaded track gives you a variety of landscapes. Accessible on foot or by bike, it offers a pleasant jogging or walking route.

An indispensable appointment is waiting every year for more or less trained amateurs of all terrain bikes: on the last weekend of September, the famous Kitten Trophy brings together thousands of mountain biking lovers in the Forêt-le-Guillaume forest. She carries her name in the event of rain before the race! Counsel: you have an interest in registering early if you don't want to remain a spectator… The weekend begins with a 15 km or 30 km walk on Saturday morning, followed by the Kitten's Kid, a mountain bike test for young people aged 7 to 14 years. Hikes are organised on Sunday morning: from 15 km to 50 km. On Sunday afternoon, a course consisting of one loop will see amateurs and professionals struggling on a technical ground: Three races are organized, 25 km, 40 km or 55 km… The registration is 6 € for juniors and 13 € for adults.

Rendezvous in May for the official Jumping International de France in La Baule. During 3 days, numerous competitions will be held to rank the best riders in the world.It is in La Baule that the outdoor show jumping season will start. The Jumping International de France de La Baule will take place at the François-André Stadium. Each year, the "Sportifs de Loire-Atlantique" awards personalities and events that have contributed to the region's reputation.

Renamed Stade Francis-Le-Basser, in tribute to the former mayor of the city, the former Jean-Yvinec stadium was inaugurated in 1971. Tangos's playground was expanded in 1978, while Stade Laval evolved into the first division. His latest lifting dates back to 2002.

The International Triathlon of Saint-Jean-de-Monts is a very famous race which gathers 350 triathletes, on a spectacular course, (Australian style swimming course). Races for young people, women, men and relays. Distance: 1 500 m swimming in the sea, 40 km cycling, 10 km walking. Also on the same day the Discovery Triathlon. Individual event open to all. Distances: 300 m swimming, 15 km cycling, 5 km walking. This is the ^38th edition!

This is one of the most important international tests of France's obstacle jumping. It is taking place every year in May, for over 50 years. Cherry on the cake, the entrance is free during the 4 days of competition. A bauloise exception that deserves to be underlined! The 5-Star International Jump Contest Competition (CSIO 5 *) offers the opportunity to observe the best riders worldwide. The opportunity to encourage the new number a global, French: Simon Delestre!

The CSIO 1 * welcomes famous amateurs such as Guillaume Canet, Marina Hands, Julien Courbet, Benjamin Castaldi… In the galleries of the Stade François-André, 30 000 people are expected to be at each edition. Novelty: since 2015, a 20 000 m ² herb car park is available 2 minutes from the stadium.

Welcome to one of France's most beautiful villages! In fact, if it rings a bell even before you've visited it, it's probably because you've already caught a glimpse of it on France 2's Village préféré des Français. This cultural walk takes you to the heart of the only city to have held out against William the Conqueror between 1083 and 1087, and which also held out against the English during the Hundred Years' War. Its castle and keep are well worth a visit.

Practicable on foot, at VTC or on mountain bike (its stony coating would not be pleasant for other practices), this Green Lane allows you to connect Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie to Givrand in only 4 kilometres. A short go back to jogging, or some shots at the end of the day, and here you will quickly take the rhythm of physical exercise on a daily basis! The route is signposted, including the dunes of the Jaunay.

The salt marshes on the island of Noirmoutier are of major interest for their flora and fauna, and this short Voie verte (Green Way) offers you the chance to explore them in complete safety. On foot or by bike, you'll make your way along the ponds on a dirt track perfectly integrated into the environment. In just 5 kilometers, you'll reach L'Herbaudière at the north-western tip of the island. Whether on your own, with friends or family, this itinerary is just as suitable for sports enthusiasts as it is for nature lovers looking for a Sunday stroll.

La Joséphine is a very beautiful initiative around a race and march 5 km, 100% women, organized for the League against Cancer. A great success for this solidarity event, which brings together more than 5 000 women with a nice pink bib, of all ages, which bear the colours of October pink to fight breast cancer. This challenge is accompanied by a weekend of animations around prevention.

This race on the road will take place on a flat track on the streets of Saint-Baudelle. On arrival, cuts will be made to the first, 1 textiles and a bowl of soup will also be offered to all participants.
