One of the biggest fairs in the Great West! Lovers of classical music eagerly await the six appointments, one Sunday a month, of this musical season. A prestigious framework, Ogaden abbey and ambitious programming bring together lovers always conquered.

An indispensable appointment is waiting every year for more or less trained amateurs of all terrain bikes: on the last weekend of September, the famous Kitten Trophy brings together thousands of mountain biking lovers in the Forêt-le-Guillaume forest. She carries her name in the event of rain before the race! Counsel: you have an interest in registering early if you don't want to remain a spectator… The weekend begins with a 15 km or 30 km walk on Saturday morning, followed by the Kitten's Kid, a mountain bike test for young people aged 7 to 14 years. Hikes are organised on Sunday morning: from 15 km to 50 km. On Sunday afternoon, a course consisting of one loop will see amateurs and professionals struggling on a technical ground: Three races are organized, 25 km, 40 km or 55 km… The registration is 6 € for juniors and 13 € for adults.

Each year is held in Vallet, the winner of the great wine competition. The rigour of its organisation, the number of samples in competition makes this competition the real reference of professionals.

Hellfest is THE meeting place for metal, hardcore and punk music in France, with a reputation that extends far beyond the borders of France. This nice festival, which takes place every two years (years), offers numerous events around the Loire, in Varades, La Chapelle-Basse-Mer, Nantes, Couëron, Cordemais, Paimboeuf. This year, the festival is replaced by ESTUAIRE, with animations from June 6 th to August 23rd.

The Festival of the White Country takes place from 7 July to 8 July 2012 in the Quartier neighbourhood in La Baule. During 3 days, numerous competitions will be held to rank the best riders in the world.It is in La Baule that the outdoor show jumping season will start. The Jumping International de France de La Baule will take place at the François-André Stadium. Each year, the "Sportifs de Loire-Atlantique" awards personalities and events that have contributed to the region's reputation.

Created in 2005 at the instigation of the French Ministry of Culture and Communication, this event is an opportunity to discover the museums of Mance and Sarthe in a whole new way. Le Mans Cité Chanson has been running for over 20 years and has three main objectives:

To promote the art of song to the general public. A coherent series of events (major concerts, local events in a variety of public and private venues) aims to bring musical practice to as wide an audience as possible.

Supporting and promoting young French-speaking artists.

Supported by the Municipal Youth Service and the Socio-Educational Mission, the Youth Forum has the principle of valuing cultural and sporting practices in the heart of the city. Young Manceaux are offered to share and admire the benefits of many activities: Dance, martial arts, concerts, graphic animation, etc. Urban culture and its disciplines play a very important role. Attendance at the event was 6,500 participants in 2001 and today exceeds 30,000 participants. On 22 and 23 September 2017, for its 16 ^th edition, the event by, for and with young people turned into a biennial, with some new novelties. Puls'Art is a key event in the cultural life of Le Mans. The International Triathlon of Saint-Jean-de-Monts is a very famous race which gathers 350 triathletes, on a spectacular course, (Australian style swimming course). Races for young people, women, men and relays. Distance: 1 500 m swimming in the sea, 40 km cycling, 10 km walking. Also on the same day the Discovery Triathlon. Individual event open to all. Distances: 300 m swimming, 15 km cycling, 5 km walking. This is the ^38th edition!

An important meeting of artists and companies who will make you discover every Wednesday and Friday evening, from mid-July to mid-August, about fifteen free shows of music, theater, dance, circus and street arts. This street arts festival, which is in its ^27th year, offers a variety of quality street performances, combining heritage and creation, as well as workshops for children led by professional artists. Every Wednesday and Friday for six weeks, the city opens its streets and gardens..

Centre Culturel de la Sarthe offers a series of performances and concerts for young children, during the Festival of Épau. Named La Outbreak de l 'Epau, four decades ago, this joyous magazine is a tribute to the music-hall. Renewed every year to satisfy its audience, La Outbreak today gives 55 annual performances for 20,000 spectators within three months. Some thirty artists participate in the show. Some 300 costumes are used for staging. The season runs traditionally from December to the end of February. Success is always a success. The troupe, composed of volunteers, amateur artists and emerging talent, is a springboard for professionals. In early June, brass lovers will be able to discover several formations at the Festival of brass, which will take place between Mamers and Saint-Cosme-en-Vairais.
