LES SCENES VAGABONDES

An open-air arts festival where live entertainment takes over parks and gardens: theater, street art, dance and music!
The scènes vagabondes traditionally take place in early July in a Nantes park. There's plenty to choose from, as the city boasts around a hundred of them. The 2023 edition kicked off with a visit to the Roseraie park, organized by the Nature and Gardens department. La Roseraie is the floral park at La Beaujoire, home to thousands of rose bushes and a hundred or so varieties of magnolia. The program includes music, dance and theater over 3 days, all free of charge. Slam poetry, travel poems, circus arts, Nantes orchestra, theater companies... This is a convivial, family-friendly event. It puts the spotlight on local musicians. In 2022, singer Zaho de Sagazan delighted the public. In 2023, the main stage was occupied by Mayomi Moreno, a Cuban singer with R&B and jazz influences. Les scènes vagabondes is also the vagabond season. From January to June, 60 events are organized in Nantes' neighborhoods.
