FORUM PHILO LE MONDE - LE MANS

To think of a question with philosophical significance in resonance both with news and with our daily concerns is the vocation, since its foundation in 1989, of the Forum «Le Monde-Le Mans». Neither academic colloquium nor controversial arena, he tries to combine the demand for reflection and the citizen's debate. On 3 days of debate from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m., the event orchestrates the confrontation of ideas between stakeholders and their meeting with the public. Science and philosophy, ethics, European culture, modernity of ancient thinking, money, art and knowledge, happiness, future, tolerance, value, violence, techniques… The topics and themes discussed are varied and addressed through a clear expression accessible by the great names of French and international thought. The forum «Le Monde-Le Mans» also highlights the interaction, exchange and freedom of dialog between the public - where many young people are involved - and philosophers, historians, scientists, economists, artists, thinkers of all disciplines.
