A large-scale show... Not to be confused with the "Pesage", a more technical event. The "Grande Parade" has a very heroic feel to it, presenting the first protagonists of the legendary 24-hourendurance race. At previous editions, we were able to get up close to champions with impressive track records. Tom Christensen, for example, is still the stuff of dreams, with seven victories to his name. Specialists such as Henri Pescarolo, Graham Hill and Mario Andretti have also previously taken part. More recently, Jacques Villeneuve, Sébastien Bourdais and Sébastien Loeb took part in the exhibition. There's something exciting about being able to get up close and personal with all these people. A standing ovation is given at every turn. The parade also celebrates three drivers in particular, who are presented with a trophy: the one who takes pole position in qualifying, the one who achieves the best lap time and the inevitable "Rookie", i.e. the competitor discovering the Le Mans scene for the very first time. This event is truly unique. Jubilant effects in store!

Founded in 1979, the Commune Libre du Vieux-Mans Plantagenêt association has for many years brought together members committed to preserving, safeguarding and promoting the architectural and cultural heritage of the old town and its districts. Among the events on offer is "Le Vieux-Mans au bout du pinceau" (Old Mans at the end of a paintbrush), a summer event that reflects this desire to put heritage into perspective. The aim is to create a graphic or pictorial work within the perimeter of the old town. For the first time in 2017, a garage sale was held at the same time as this event. In winter, "Noël aux genêts" takes place in December. Lighting up the Plantagenet town, street entertainment, painting exhibitions... It's all there for you to enjoy the enchantment of Christmas!

Created in 2005 at the instigation of the French Ministry of Culture and Communication, this event is an opportunity to discover the museums of Mance and Sarthe in a whole new way. This exceptional opening is scheduled for spring, from 7pm to midnight. Lecturers at the city's various museums will be offering guided tours and fun activities, covering both temporary exhibitions and the permanent collections. It's sure to be a surreal experience, as nighttime is always a time for dreams and mystery. The museum institution takes on a magical new dimension. An annual experience not to be missed.

Come and participate in these festivities where music is celebrated in all its forms. The meeting is always set on June 21, which is most often the summer solstice and therefore the longest of the year. What better chance to celebrate until dawn? Amateurs and professionals go on stage in the streets and public spaces. There are all tastes. Concerts programmed or improvised throughout the city reflect eclecticism; jazz, rock, world music, classical music, but also music of minorities and street dances. Each time, they make the heart of the city fought with great strokes. There are a few concerts in the hall that are in their infancy. Please note that these are a little in the margins of the circuit, since the International Charter of the Organizing Cities is particularly concerned with maintaining the free event. As amateurs, do not hesitate to invest a corner of the city. For here is an important opportunity to take place and find a place outside the usual cultural circuits. Music Festival is a demonstration that promotes different talents. It's a real moment of liesse to share. Musicians, singers, dancers and music lovers are happy with it. His success is international. To be lost among the crowd or to be guided by rhythms and sounds is certainly a true happiness for all.

Le Mans Cité Chanson has been running for over 20 years and has three main objectives:

To promote the art of song to the general public. A coherent series of events (major concerts, local events in a variety of public and private venues) aims to bring musical practice to as wide an audience as possible.

The development of amateur practices in the field of song: to this end, we have set up a variety of workshops and spaces for expression.

Supporting and promoting young French-speaking artists.

Among them: Sanseverino, Jeanne Cherhal, Gérald Genty, Amélie les Crayons, Imbert-Imbert, Emmanuel Moire, Kwak, Les Joyeux Urbains, Boudu les Cop's, Le Petit Dernier, Flow, Yoanna, Askehoug, Evelyne gallet, Sarah Olivier, Orlando le trio, Emilie Marsh..

Supported by the Municipal Youth Service and the Socio-Educational Mission, the Youth Forum has the principle of valuing cultural and sporting practices in the heart of the city. Young Manceaux are offered to share and admire the benefits of many activities: Dance, martial arts, concerts, graphic animation, etc. Urban culture and its disciplines play a very important role. Attendance at the event was 6,500 participants in 2001 and today exceeds 30,000 participants. On 22 and 23 September 2017, for its 16 ^th edition, the event by, for and with young people turned into a biennial, with some new novelties. The Shugashack (blues/folk), Rocky (electro pop), Willy William (urban pop) and many other animations. Friday was devoted to humor with the humorists Fary, Marina Cars and Djimo. Sport was also honored with the first Color Run of the Youth Forum, starting from the Place des Quinconces with the participation of 1,300 people. And still parallel to the spaces of expression, information for young people. The Village of Initiatives has presented projects around engagement, volunteering or mobility, in partnership with help projects.

Puls'Art is a key event in the cultural life of Le Mans. Since its creation in 1993, this international contemporary art event has revealed over a thousand artists to the public, and served as a springboard for many of them. It's also an opportunity to make art accessible to all, by bringing it to the heart of the town center in the new FIAA center (Fonds International d'Art Actuel). Discover paintings, buy them, talk to the artists present - everything is done to highlight the diversity and uniqueness of the works on display and to enlighten your strolls. As the slogan goes: Puls'Art opens you up to ever more art!

Held at the Centre des Expositions (opposite the Le Mans 24 Hours racetrack), the Le Mans Auto Moto Rétro bourse d'échange brings together over two hundred exhibitors (including clubs) every year. For two days, professionals and private individuals alike will be able to trade, sell or buy anything to do with cars and motorcycles: spare parts, miniatures, documentation, models... a convivial moment where lovers of beautiful bodies can meet up again. Once again this year, visitors can look forward to a large-scale event covering more than 15,000 m2 (indoor and outdoor). Numerous classic cars will be on display both indoors and outdoors.

Every year, the Le Mans exhibition center devotes four exhaustive days to the home. Some 200 professionals are expected to attend, with a multitude of trades represented in four thematic areas: real estate, housing, furniture and decoration, and nature and the garden. Exhibitors will share their expertise and know-how, and present the trends of today and tomorrow. Cafés rencontres are generally organized on a variety of themes; as long as you register in advance, you'll have the opportunity, from next season onwards, to find out from certain exhibitors about practical questions, investment costs, new technologies and materials used. Interior design and decoration, insulation, the timber house, the real estate market, nature, the garden, and more. Everything is reviewed.
