For accomplished sportsmen or lovers of new thrills, the park is located in the heart of the Aveyron gorges below the Bône cirque, on the river bank, along hiking trails and climbing routes. More than seventy workshops to discover on the six courses adapted to all levels of difficulty, and including zip lines, free fall and tree climbing. Today, it is said that the children who come here do not want to go home... and neither do their parents, it seems! Come and discover the Labyrinth of a Thousand Flowers, a space of play and discovery in the middle of nature for the whole family. Don't lose your Ariadne's thread and beware of the terrible Minotaur who hides among the metal, wood and bamboo mazes or the parks and gardens cultivated and maintained without pesticides. A treat for the whole family, especially since the botanical gardens are of great beauty (the orangery has more than 60 varieties of citrus fruits) and will delight adults while the children have fun in the Laby Spalsh (bathing suit required). The owners are always full of crazy and original ideas to develop new structures over the years, but they are also convinced of organic farming and of a healthy and sustainable development for the planet. Finally, a real snack under a straw hut with a misting system offers "from seed to plate" salads for vegetarians, hamburgers with organic meat, organic syrups and juices... Solomiac offers beautiful hikes in its surroundings, with notably the Pigeonniers trail or the Gimone trail. The 17 different routes allow you to enjoy the beauty of the Gers countryside and its bucolic panoramas. Hiking maps can be obtained from the Mauvezin Tourist Office or from the Solomiac town hall, which has financed a wonderful educational booklet allowing children to discover the banks of the Gimone.

Discovery trail of the Gimone. This trail is 1.7 km to 3 km long and is ideal to walk with children. Designed by the association Arbre et Paysage 32, it was financed by the Community of Communes. An educational booklet accompanies the trail and allows the youngest to become familiar with nature. Explanations, games, anecdotes allow to approach different themes: water, soil, fauna, flora, biotope, ecosystem and sustainable development. The games were created by students from the schools of Solomiac and Sarrant. The booklet, free of charge, can be picked up at the town hall of Solomiac or in the Tourist Offices. Randonnée des Pigeonniers. This 14 km loop is for adults or cyclists. It crosses the countryside surrounding Solomiac and will lead you to the discovery of the pigeon houses, emblematic of the culture of the South-West. You can also see windmills and enjoy a superb panorama. The circuit is described in detail on the commune's website.

A former railroad line, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time as soon as you take your first steps, or start pedaling. The 3 m wide track passes over the Eiffel-type Lavassac metal bridge, viaducts and tunnels for 3.5 km. Pleasant both for the quality of its surface and for the views it affords over the Cévennes valley of the Rivière d'Arre. It lends itself equally well to walks and bike rides with family and friends, rollerblade training and daily jogging.

The Saint-Roman Golf Club offers introductory courses for children and adults at affordable rates, all in an atmosphere of sharing and conviviality... A 22-station synthetic driving range and a 10-station grass driving range have been created for practice. A synthetic putting green for training, and a pitching green for perfecting your game. The course ranges from 6 to 12 holes. With several tee-offs to choose from, you'll be able to vary your game with ease!

Le Paradis is an Eden for padel and squash enthusiasts looking for a place to let off steam with friends and have a good time. You can opt for subscription packages with unlimited access, or an à la carte formula if you're just passing through. Not equipped? No problem, you'll find everything you need on site. Le Paradis has 4 squash courts and 2 padel courts, a relaxation area with a cosy corner, table tennis and table soccer, and a restaurant open to all: La Paillote (see our article). Fans of Tarzan, Avatar or Patrick Edlinger, your happiness is here, at the edge of the lake in a natural space at 2 min from the motorway. You will discover the pleasure of evolving in massive trees (two hundred year old plane trees!) and exploring the courses ranging from 3 to 20 meters high with different difficulties. The Natura Game park is located in the heart of the Toulouse countryside. You can spend a beautiful day in the fresh air while practicing fun activities, accessible to the whole family. The terraces of the Frontonnais are perfect for walks in the sun. Ten signposted itineraries of between 1.5 and 3.5 hours take you through the vineyards. Don't miss the Vitirando , starting in Vacquiers, which takes you on an olfactory tour thanks to the special terminals! Out and about with children? In one of the most beautiful parts of the Cévennes, Abracadabranche promises to fill you with nature and thrills. From tree to tree, the many courses feature zip-line traversal workshops, suspension bridges, climbing nets, log walkways and more. Each course is adapted to the ages and abilities of everyone, from children to adults and teenagers. Even 2-4 year-olds have their own play area, without a harness. Cross the river or fly over the farm animals, unless you prefer their company on the ground!

In Solpérières, Evelyne and François have created a garden that reflects their convictions. Their Cévennes farm-garden is entirely dedicated to the organic production of flowers, plants and fruits, and to the promotion of biodiversity. Evelyne and François receive their guests for several days in two gîtes with traditional architecture, or for a few hours to discover their vegetable farm. They propose a walk in the middle of the flowers, before sitting down in the garden's summer lounge to taste the farm's products.

The team of La Maison de l'Aventure has developed a range of sporting and fun activities designed to take the measure of the incredible landscapes of the Hautes Cévennes: canyoning, caving, hiking, via ferrata, climbing and tree climbing, otherwise known as accrobranche. The Maison de l'Aventure thus offers the possibility to move safely in the river's whitewater, to tackle the limestone cliffs of the Chassezac gorges, to explore the depths of the great causses of Lozère, or to climb to the top of a hundred-year-old oak tree.

In a Natura 2000 zone, the Charpal Lake site is irresistibly reminiscent of Canada. Its very particular history (the lake was supposed to shelter ammunition between the two world wars and a railway line was built there), its forest, planted in the 1950s, have made it a unique place sheltering a rather exceptional fauna and flora. A path has been laid out and the 9 kilometres can be covered on foot or by mountain bike, with educational panels on the environment. If fishing (no kill only) is allowed, swimming is forbidden.

Each season has its own activity at Oxygen Aventure. The range of activities is vast and the team of qualified instructors offers a multitude of activities on land, underground and on the water. The company has been in existence for some time and the instructors are well versed in the sport and will be able to guide you according to your level. Whatever the activity you choose, the equipment is of course provided because you don't go into a canyon in flip-flops! Oxygen Aventure also supervises outside the department (canyoning and potholing in Ariège) and adapts to the needs of groups (schools, sports clubs, companies...).

At the heart of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park lies the Gorges d'Héric, an exceptional site that has been listed since 1993. Thanks to a trail, you can discover the richness of the flora and fauna, stroll along the water and discover the waterfalls and chasms. Signs ask questions. Answers can be found in the "Gorges d'Héric booklet", on sale at the Tourist Office. The walk is on foot, and takes 5 km and 315 m of ascent. It takes about 1h30 with normal walking, 2h with breaks. The return journey takes the same route, i.e. 10 km round trip. Ideal for families, with stroller access. The Gorges d'Héric is also a place where you can cool off in the natural pools. Héric is a charming, picturesque hamlet with small stone houses, slate roofs and chestnut frames, narrow streets and terraced fields.

Practical info : From Mons-la-Trivalle, head for the Gorges d'Héric parking lot. Paid parking on Easter weekends and from April 15 to September 15. The Snack Loulette welcomes you. Picnic tables, toilets, water points, sandwiches and drinks are also available in Héric.

Did you know? Numerous hikes are possible from this site, including the Sentier des Gardes, accessible from the Soupirs footbridge (on the right at the start of the gorges), which takes 2h30 to reach the Caroux orientation table (Caution: significant difference in altitude: 800 m D+).

If you're an outdoor enthusiast, the Goût d'Aventure leisure center in Aniane is the place for you! Between water, rocks and breathtaking landscapes, their team offers a variety of sensational or relaxing activities. Whether it's via ferrata, rock climbing, caving, archery or hydrospeed, you'll be spoilt for choice for exceptional moments with family or friends in an extraordinary natural setting. The vast nautical base offers canoes, kayaks and giant paddles for hire... There's even an aquatic zip-line!

This short interpretive trail takes you to meet bitterns, birds in the same family as egrets and herons. If you want to catch a glimpse of some of these birds, you'll need to be quiet and unobtrusive! Here and there, huts and platforms invite the most curious to hide and observe them. The walk is both peaceful and exotic, as you make your way along a stilted path overlooking ponds and marshes. A unique walk!

In the heart of the tourist resort, the International Tennis Center has many facilities: 22 outdoor tennis courts, including 6 clay courts and 4 synthetic grass courts, 8 indoor courts, including 2 clay courts. The establishment also hosts the "French Touch Academy" which gives lessons. It offers tennis and padel training courses for young people and adults. This path invites you to a quiet interlude along the Hérault River, the Mediterranean Sea and the Canal du Midi. The protected area of Les Verdisses, a real green lung, covers 600 hectares. With a bit of luck, you will be able to see a European cistude, a small freshwater turtle, or the European bee-eater, a bird with remarkable colors.

Note: access to marker n°6 of the trail is possible if the Belle Isle park is open, otherwise you have to come back to the starting point after having reached marker n°5.

Walk in the heart of the Verdisses area, a green setting towards the beaches and Adge.

This path starts near the campsite La Tama, the water tower and the bunkers which constituted the "Wall of the Mediterranean". It starts in the pine forest, continues to the pond, continues along the Canal du Midi, then through the vineyards, and reveals a ranch. Do not miss the visit of the bunker 638. It is a collection of images, scents and colors for everyone to enjoy.

At the foot of the Corbières mountains, this centre houses about twenty horses and ponies and offers teaching, riding, boarding, breaking-in... The courses take place during the school holidays and allow you to broaden your equestrian knowledge or simply to have a good time with horses and riders. The horse or pony rides will allow you to discover the limestone hills of the massif, the vineyards and also the Mediterranean plants.

Nestled in the gorges de l'Hérault near Montpellier and the Grotte des Demoiselles, this via ferrata is one of the longest and most magnificent in Occitanie. This aerial route offers an exceptional panorama between the Pic Saint Loup and Mont Aigoual. With its vertical sections, monkey bridge, zip line, abseiling, chimneys, caves and tunnels, it offers a unique experience. And to top it all off, don't miss the pendulum jump into the Baume du Soleil, where you'll discover the secret behind its name. A surprise well worth the detour...

Located at the foot of the Haut Languedoc regional park, this equestrian club is run by a complementary team. On the program: horse and pony rides and excursions, from two hours to several days, supervised by Yann, a state-qualified rider. These outings will take you to the Aiguille forest, the Sor valley, the castles of the Cathar country and the Tarn gorges. Whether you're an experienced rider or not, this is a wonderful way to discover the countryside.

You don't have to be a member to take part in one of the many hikes proposed by this cheerful team, whose program can be found online or in the local press. Membership is compulsory after the^3rd participation, after having tested the club's good atmosphere... One of the club's stated aims is clear: "To share steps and create social links". The website lists all the outings scheduled for the week and half-year, together with a list of essential equipment.

We already know about the Ardèche gorges at Valon-Pont-d'Arc, but there's also the possibility of taking to the water and the waves on the Gardon and its gorges. Natu'Rando offers you a choice of boats to navigate from Fournes to Remoulins, as far as the Saint-Nicolas bridge. The longest course, the integral, is 35 km long, but a range of 6 courses, from the smallest to the largest, will suit every arm! Set in a magnificent national forest just 5 km from Auch, this leisure park invites you to experience adventure right in the heart of nature. With family or friends, test your balance on the accrobranche (tree climbing) courses with 5 levels of difficulty, feel the adrenaline rush as you hurtle down the giant zip line, enjoy a fun paintball session, a ride on an all-terrain electric scooter or the Corde Game experience. On site: refreshment bar, picnic area, restaurant and even a gîte with swimming pool.

A playful and sporting area much appreciated by the inhabitants. On the edge of the Samatan lake, this new leisure spot opened in 2020 and immediately attracted slide and balance lovers. Young and old alike come to let off steam along an asphalt ribbon designed in a loop and equipped with hollows and bumps, overhangs and raised turns like a skate park. Fun and safety in mind! This pumptrack welcomes you on mountain bikes or BMX, skateboards, rollerblades or scooters. Some slots are reserved for school children, who have priority

This association, which produced a topo-guide to short hikes, offers guided hikes and themed outings (botany, birds, farm produce, etc.) around Grandrieu and in the Margeride region: twenty-five signposted loop trails starting from Grandrieu, ranging from 4 km to 27.2 km, a 75 km cantonal tour that can be completed in three days... The association has worked on the creation of a circuit called "la via Agrippa". The calendar of guided hikes and the trail map are available on the website.

The L'Etrier riding school welcomes you at the gates of Cahors in an ideal location, with horses and ponies, supervised by qualified instructors. Initiation and improvement, rides by the hour or by the day, accompanied rides, information on the spot. The instructors are particularly friendly and nothing is left to chance to make this moment, whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, a privileged moment. Cap Nature Figeac offers a wide range of sporting activities, including accrobranche (tree climbing) with monkey bridges, zip lines, nets... The courses are adapted to every age and level, with no spirit of competition. You'll have 5 hectares of forest to play in: paintball, treasure hunts, mini-golf... and even archerygame! Surrounded by oak trees, the setting is superb for a moment of sporting relaxation with family or friends. The accrobranche and orienteering courses can also be enjoyed at night on Wednesday evenings in summer, for an even greater thrill.

Maiwenn, a qualified equestrian tourism guide from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, awaits you with her horses and ponies in a superb, isolated and calm location. For the little ones, the discovery of the farm and its animals is a real moment of relaxation and a source of joy. For each level, its formula. Whether you are an experienced rider or a beginner, the horseback ride will satisfy you. Alone, with family or friends, here is an address for a nature outing. You can also stay at the heart of the farm in the rural gîte.

This equestrian center is located on a 7-hectare estate not far from the Manciet campsite. It offers a range of riding options for the general public. Horse-riding enthusiasts can come and take lessons on the estate and take part in tailor-made courses organized according to their desires: archery, dismounted work, free-riding work, dressage, cross-country, boarding courses. Four boarding options are also available. Equivolt also specializes in events and shows, catering for both private and public events.

The Gorges du Tarn golf course offers an 18-hole wooded and hilly course, in a spectacular environment, which was designed by Chris Pittman, as an extension of the traditional 9 holes. Its fairways require a lot of technical skill because they are very narrow. On site, the club-house offers all the necessary services: store, bar, restaurant, locker room. Lessons and training courses are offered to golfers of all levels and ages. To try this sport, group initiations take place in July and August.

The Tennis club of Avignon deserves itself. A small arrow indicates "TCA and restaurant le 7" just before the Magnaneraie in Villeneuve-lèz-Avignon. The path goes up, very steep. At the top a car park and the back of a restaurant in the middle of pines, squirrels and cicadas, calm reigns and soon you can see the first two well maintained clay tennis courts. There are 6 of them as well. Finally, three quick courts invite you to play on busy days.

A family bastion of 10 hectares facing the garrigue gardoise which has been handed down from father to son since 1955. This accredited centre run by Jacques Roques and his wife Claude has impressive infrastructures - a 70 m long and 25 m wide indoor riding arena, an outdoor course with fixed obstacles, dressage and obstacle quarries - making it possible to pass all the obstacles of progression in this demanding discipline. Supervised by state-qualified instructors.

This pony club is nestled in a 15-hectare property where you can learn to ride in complete safety. Dressage and jumping arena, cross country course, riding school, the equipment is adapted to the range of activities. For the youngest, from 3 to 5 years old, discovery and confidence-building programs familiarize the child with the pony through rides, driving, acrobatics and games. Older children also benefit from this type of activity, including preparation of their mount, riding lessons and practical application of what they have learned.

In a hamlet of the Cevennes, the donkeys are the companions of the men. Less stubborn than we think, they are very enduring carriers. With small steps, they facilitate the hike of the good walkers as well as the families whose luggage they carry and, on occasion, the tired offspring. Several all-inclusive packages are offered and all are adapted to the client's wishes: advice on donkeys, with an introductory session of 1h30, to get to know the animal, learn how to ride it, lead it, take care of it, but also maps, stopovers.

This sporty course, which mixes the pleasures of mountain hiking with those of climbing, is available in two courses equally suited to beginners and more experienced climbers. The via ferrata of Rousses links rock walls, zip lines and suspension bridges to thrill in complete safety, but also to enjoy the exceptional landscapes of the Tapoul gorges. The circuit, which runs along the river, even allows you to refresh yourself on the way while enjoying the pleasures of the water. The entrance is free and the equipment can be rented on the spot.

It is on the southern slope of the Lozère mountain that La Cavale du Ventalon welcomes riders, according to several formulas, from the short ride to the weekend, or even more. More than a simple ride, it is a real immersion in the Cevennes landscapes which is proposed here, in the immediate vicinity of the GR7 and 68. A discovery of the Cevennes at the rhythm of the horse which can only amaze the nature lovers. La Cavale du Ventalon also offers options for walking or with a donkey, camping at the farm, and tasting good products along the way.

Didier Sirvins proposes, mainly to riders at ease with the three paces, full day or half day rides in the surroundings of the Mont Lozère. Breeder of Lusitano horses, demanding rider, this qualified instructor and guide of equestrian tourism will help you to progress in your relationship with your mount and will make you discover the sumptuous landscapes of the region which combine large forests with plateaus. Among his equestrian services, he also proposes pension, dressage, riding lessons.

On the edge of the Causse Méjean, this equestrian center welcomes you for horseback rides. Discover, in a few kilometers, an amazing variety of landscapes, from the arid and rocky areas typical of the limestone plateaus to the breathtaking panoramas of the Tarn gorges. The horses are calm and used to this type of outing, allowing you to enjoy the landscapes serenely for two hours. Cécile, who holds a sports instructor's certificate, is also there to supervise these moments in the open air and ensure the safety of all the riders.

The EQUIPYRENE network has been in place for more than 25 years and its goal is to bring together, for all the Pyrenees, a dozen equestrian guides, founders of the Bureau des Guides Equestres Transpyrénéens (BGET), but also other equestrian professionals such as riding schools or equestrian lodges, or even saddlers... A very valuable address for those who want to experience a Pyrenean trek and its 3,000 kilometers of trails.

With these electric scooters, the roads and trails are quickly eaten up, and the landscapes of the Causse de Sauveterre, the Gorges du Tarn and the Cévennes go by at top speed. These rides, with hair blowing in the wind, wearing a helmet - safety is a must - and clinging to the handlebars of these little scooters, are accessible to riders aged 12 and over. They take place in small groups and are always accompanied by a qualified guide. Easy to handle, these all-terrain scooters made in France, with their wide tires, offer great stability, whatever the type of road.

The route offers three loops totalling 25 km. There are no major difficulties, and it's sure to delight nature lovers. Following the coloured markers along the back channel, you first enter the land and then the undergrowth, which leads you to the Villeneuve dam. Cross the dam, pass the campsite and follow the markers or signs along the Rhône river back to the starting point, the Tour Philippe Le Bel. It's a refreshing and interesting stroll through water, vineyards, garrigue and diverse fauna.
