The store also offers take-away meals: vegetable flan, coucous, cassoulet and desserts. So many good things to enjoy at home. For your events, don't miss the catering service.

Present at Les Halles since 1988, Franck Bourdeau has proven himself time and time again. Rewarded for his specialities such as andouillette à la corde and jambon au torchon, we also like to pass by his stall to discover rillons, rillettes and traditional charcuterie. In summer, you can enjoy sausages with herbs, chorizo to grill, brochettes and thinly sliced poultry with lemon-rosemary sauce. In the same spirit, don't miss the inevitable Easter pâté or the lobsters and foie gras at the end of the year. The welcome is charming!

CHOCOLATERIE ROYALE

Chocolatier
4/5
3 reviews

Since 1760, the Chocolaterie Royale has not lost its name. And to say that we no longer know where to put our heads in front of all its chocolate temptations is not excessive. Candied fruit, fruit jellies and marrons glacés are not to be neglected. Macaroons are in the spotlight, with blackcurrant and violet, an extraordinary delicacy. As for the ganaches, recommended by the chocolate creator Daniel Mercier, whether they are made with dark, milk or white chocolate, they are melt-in-the-mouth... imperishable. A place where you can be damned. Not to be avoided.

DOMAINE JEAN TEILLER

Winery
4/5
3 reviews

Jean-Jacques and Monique Teiller work on the estate with their daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Olivier Luneau, the third generation. Located on the best slopes of the communes of Menetou-Salon, Parassy, Aubinges and Vignoux, their vineyard is worked in its entirety in Organic Agriculture (certified since 2017) and in Biodynamics (first year of conversion at Biodyvin in 2019), and it now covers just under twenty hectares. The property produces white, red and rosé Menetou-Salon. The white is made from the Sauvignon grape variety. It is representative of the Menetou-Salon appellation and its taste is typical of Domaine Teiller. Its nose is intense and mineral with notes of citrus, peaches and ripe fruit. It is ideal with a crottin de Chavignol - for example, with fish, white meat or an aperitif. The red and rosé wines are made from a pinot noir grape variety that is rooted deeper in the clay-limestone soil. The red releases its aromas of red fruits, raspberries, cherries and spices in a bouquet of flavours. It is a perfect accompaniment to terrines, meats... and chocolate desserts! Its fame goes beyond the borders. Tadashi Agi and Shu Okimoto even refer to it in their famous manga Les Gouttes de Dieu. The Jean Teiller estate produces three white wines (classic, Mademoiselle T, Rencontre), a classic rosé and three red wines (classic, Hommage, Rencontre rouge). A beautiful Cher estate to discover!

Popular as far away as Japan, the macaroons of baker Pascal Debaud come from this small shop. Round, crunchy, these sweets are a delight! In the shop, which was recently renovated in 2020, the service is always smiling and pleasant. There are of course other small specialities and sweets, but also crisp bread.

For the pleasure of picking up its fruits and vegetables, a giant vegetable garden opens to you, 5 minutes by car from Chartres town Centre. But you'll also get lots of green beans, zucchini, cucumbers, peppers, cabbage, broccoli, turnips, pumpkins, and so on. Christian Christmas is an attentive wine cellar for its clientele that it welcomes with a smile and leaves with a bit of basil, a gift from the house. Olives are provided by the house. Situated on a small square where three statues are inscribed, here is a pretty bakery, where you will regale, both with bread and with pastries and cakes, which are delicious good. Not to mention the inescapable Mentchikoffs, local speciality that you will find here in several forms. In summer, ice creams are served outdoors, for the greatest happiness of both small and large. On the floor there is a room, rather cute at first glance, but perhaps not as refined as it seems. The frame is still pleasant, whether it is to enjoy pastries or to try the menu of the day, as this tea salon also serves as a brasserie. However, let us not forget: It is a pity that a reputation of this reputation sometimes lets you go to a lesser kind, and do not necessarily care about the cleanliness of its places.

Wine here is a true religion. A religion whose proselytes have their feet firmly on the ground, fortunately. That's why, certainly, they have this red hue... The cellar has existed since the 10th century, around the castle of Chinon. It was Pierre Plouzeau who bought the family estate and who now perpetuates a unique and world-renowned - and often rewarded - know-how (as much for its rich and delicious taste as for its "organic" virtue). Wines that will go wonderfully well with your family meals!

This bakery with its cheerful green front has been installed in the heart of Pithiviers for over a century! In addition to a wide selection of seed breads, sandwich loaves and other specialities with a crispy crust, Christine and Stéphane Maréchal are renowned for their cakes, which are gourmet to perfection! The almond cake won first place in the competition for the best almond cake at the Pithiverais in 2018. Every year, at the Epiphany, the bakery brings in beans specially created for the occasion.
