In Cormery, people flock to Pascal Debaud. His macaroons, round, golden, crunchy then soft, bear the imprint of monastic savoir-faire. Here, they're called "nombrils": a simple delicacy made from almonds, sugar and egg whites, which has won over gourmets as far afield as Japan. In the bright, enlarged boutique, the sweet treats are lined up in the window, but the star remains the legendary macaron, handed down with constancy and offered every day with the same generosity.

C'est l'une des rares boulangeries à fabriquer et à vendre encore les macarons de l'abbaye de Cormery, qui sont vraiment bons. Les pâtisseries proposées sont aussi très bonnes et faîtes maison donc de qualité.

there is not that macaroons in this bakery... there is also the excellent bread, especially " baguettes tradition" for those who like the crispy bread...
