BRASSERIE SANCERROISE

Gourmet products Beer and brewery

The Sancerroise Brewery is a family affair: for 15 years, the Dumas family has produced and marketed its artisanal beer. We had to find a variant to the vine that could, from time to time, unravel the gossip… It was in this corner of Berry, a great producer of brewery, that she was born with priesthood respecting the old brassico traditions. Thus, all beers are brewed, fermented, cautioned and bottled in the brewery. Most of them are made with Berrichon malts and high-quality Bavarian hops. Brewing techniques take back old recipes in infusion but also in decoding. We're getting the sancerroise blonde to the green lens of Berry. Black beers will love Sancerroise in Gruyt. La Sans-Gêne is a blonde, La Drôlesse is blonde and the Lou-Pelou is organic while the Sancerroise-Val-d 'Or is a beautiful redhorse. Come on, once is not custom, extra foam!

VIN DE VENESMES

Winery

This small isolated vineyard located 35 km south of Bourges was planted at the initiative of a group of farmers. After a rich past, more than 200 ha in 1900, and a total extinction in the seventies, it is reborn today thanks to the determination. Originally, Venesmes was known mainly for its Sauvignon. This heritage has been beneficial to the new group, aware of the potential of its land for this white. Planting of Sauvignon was therefore 3,5 ha, the first in 1997. The rest is planted in Pinot Noir and some gamay. The first harvest took place in 2000. Sold in wine Country of the Cher to 25 € the six whites and 27 € the six reds, it is a wine of pleasant thirst. That will undoubtedly be apparent in the years to come. Congratulations to this group, to its courage and love for a forgotten land, more for a long time, we hope!

CAVE DE MARC & SÉBASTIEN

Wine Cellar Wine House

Beautiful bright space than the Cellar of Marc & Sébastien. It is impossible to miss the appreciable facade opening the world of liquids where all the bottles exposed appear to be tenter oeil both to the bottle novice and to the warning of the bottleneck. A sacred collection of whiskies awakens the pupil well before the palace. Colours to die, ochre, marrons… A palette of quality in view of the years when they vieillirent in the promise of a voyage bottled before the glass… Loaded volatile volatiles such as gin, cognac, armagnac and other chartreuse that make themselves beautiful on the wooden shelves. However, vineyards require the representation of red, white wines, the rosé of the most sought-after regions. Finally, Marc & Sebastien's cellar is like a library, and it is surprising to look for the bottle as looking for a book. To say that both are with is blustering, the same applies to Marc & Sébastien!

DOMAINE GILBERT

Winery

In five generations, Domaine Philippe Gilbert has carved out a great reputation. It now covers 28 hectares, which has been conduit since 2006. It is a matter, as the wine growers very well explained, of'valuing the soil and the plant by preparations derived from vegetable, animal or mineral materials, taking into account the rhythms of the stars '. The family estate in the heart of AOC menetou-salon produces two vintages: the Domaine de la Domaine, which distinguishes itself from fresh and balanced wines that you will find in the three colours, and the Cuvée, normally and high in barrels with a harvest from the oldest vineyards of the estate which this time offers complex and powerful wines (white and red). The pleasure of tasting continues at the restaurant - wine bar Fluteau imagined by Philippe Gilbert. A very nice address on one of the most beautiful slopes of the department, which cultivates both a deep respect for nature and a beautiful philosophy of life.

DOMAINE DES BERRYCURIENS

Winery

A place of history, because it was on the territory of Marmagne that in 1234 Robert de Courtenay founded Notre-Dame-de-Beauvoir, an abbey of nuns. The King of France Saint-Louis liked to visit Beauvoir, which obliged the monastery to receive dignified and good wines. It is in place of Villalin that the Cistercian tree planted a small vineyard. Eight centuries later, the Villalin still remains, dedicated to the cult of Sauvignon. The domain consists of two wines in AOC, Quincy and Reuilly. For the first, the vines are planted at the place Dit. Manual harvest, grape selection, local wealth, limited yields, produce wines with very sought-after characteristics. For the second (Rouge red and Rosé rosé), the vines are located in the Dit. To discover: Quincy Loge of vines. This specific wine is decorated with a label made by a young artist who represents "the barriau", i. e. a small barrier in front of a restored vineyard box.

DOMAINE DU VIEIL ORME

Winery

This wine estate offers two original workshops to raise awareness of the artisanal production of grape juice, accessible from 7 years old. On the program: a walk through the vineyards to understand the winemaker's job before witnessing the harvesting of the grapes and their passage through the press. Of course, the visit ends with a well-deserved tasting! The "Press your own grapes" workshop involves children who participate in all the stages of grape juice production, before leaving with it!

DOMAINE DU COUDRAY

Winery

On the road from Bourges to Issoudun is the Domaine du Coudray, which you will have no trouble noticing from the N 151 because the dovecote that can be seen from the road is majestically visible in the landscape. A panel invites you to taste it. The visit is a beautiful revelation. Domaine du Coudray extends over 5 hectares of vines and produces two organic Quincy vintages: the "Domaine du Coudray" and the "Pointe d'Authenticité". If you are looking for a floral wine with notes of grapefruit and honey that goes perfectly with fish, seafood and goat cheese, and especially a wine produced without pesticides or other chemicals, you have come to the right place. The Domaine is the only one to produce organic wines on the Quincy vineyard, which has had the AOC label since 1936. The "tasting" area has been designed with the same ecological ethics in wood and stone, it allows you to discover the wines of the estate but also the other cereal products (green lentils, pink lentils, sweet corn...). Julien Jansen and Vincent Nivet, partners in GAEC, are pleased to share their values and passion with you during a tasting session. The estate produces organic wine and sells it in many points of sale (including organic shops and markets).

DOMAINE DES GRANDS ORMES

Winery

This small area of seven hectares is in full renaissance. It is by far: all its vines were grubbed up in 1870, shortly after the outbreak of the phylloxera epidemic which ravaged European vineyards in the th century. It was only in 1991 that the domaine des Grands Elms was replanted by Christophe Gallon, on half a hectare to begin. Today, of the 7 hectares of sandy soil in the property, Sauvignon reigns without sharing. From here, Christophe Bin produces voluntarily young wines, fresh, with grapefruit and flowers aromas, perfect for accompanying some goat cheeses. To follow closely.
