The Amirault family and the Clos des Quarterons, it's a family story that has been going on for over 180 years! A know-how that has been passed on for 6 generations. The Biscuiterie de Chambord, is made with quality raw materials and prepared according to traditional methods. Mr Pibaleau, who turns to organic viticulture, gets you in his field and will teach you the qualities of his white, rosé, red, and the crémant de Loire. The visit of the vineyard is commented on by the operator himself. Note, all vintages after 2008 are volatile, and the domain is in conversion to biodynamie. In Vouvray, Clos de l'Epinay is a winery well worth a visit. Surrounded by vines, this 20-hectare estate produces quality white wines in the Appellation contrôlée Vouvray. Taken over in 2023 by Antoine and Henry, who cultivate the Chenin grape variety with care and precision. You can discover the vines that grow within the walls and taste the estate's "living" dry and sparkling wines.

The estate's 8 hectares are spread out over the communes of Luynes and Fondettes, overlooking the Loire, whose different geological characteristics complement each other well. Timothée Delalle cultivates his vines with respect for the winemaker's craft. He offers a selection of wines, including Le Four Blanc, Le Haut Repos and Le Moulin Doré. History: The Sancerre region invites you to discover Sancerre, a PDO wine produced around Sancerre, located in the Cher department, available in all three colours. These wines, classified since 1936 for whites and since 1959 for reds and rosés, have made the reputation of this wine-growing region. The vineyard extends, on the left bank of the Loire, over approximately 2,770 hectares and 14 communes: Menetou-Râtel, Ménétréol-sous-Sancerre, Bué, Crézancy-en-Sancerre, Montigny, Sainte-Gemme-en-Sancerrois, Sancerre, Chavignol, Saint-Satur, Sury-en-Vaux, Veaugues, Verdigny, Vinon and Thauvenay. The vines have colonized more or less curved slopes, which give the landscapes of Sancerre all their typical character. Be aware that White Sancerre is perfectly suited to Chavignol manure, but also fish, shellfish and crustaceans. Its combination is perfect with warm, slightly spicy starters. The range is made from 100% orchard apples, untreated thanks to the hardiness of the varieties. Likewise, no sulfites or other additives are added to the production process. From the tree to the bottle, everything is untreated, as guaranteed by the "100% natural Petites Vallées charter", which everyone is invited to check at any time. Sour apples and bittersweet apples are used to make this special Gâtinais cider, brut or demi-sec (and special cuvées). The cultivation of apples and the manufacture of cider are linked to the history of the East Gâtinais. In many municipalities, unfortunately, production belongs to the past, with the grinding being used for decorative purposes. A few small family enterprises resist and continue, fortunately, to propose the Fermier farmer cider, developed in accordance with traditions. Daniel Canault is of those who are committed to perpetuating the cidricole heritage. Within its 180 hectare farm (shared between cereal cultivation and nursing), it has preserved a space of about 15 hectares for the orchard. Part of the harvest (13 hectares) leaves to the big cider but took care to reserve a fruit hedge of local varieties bathed for its own production. The result: a real local product, a half-dry and crude agricultural cider whose fermentation and foam outlet are carried out in a natural way. You will find this producer and others of his sweets (apple juice, vinegar) on some local markets, including the Terroir-sur-Loing market, the first Sunday of every month (except January). Here is a small vineyard of 6 hectares born of nostalgia of a group of friends who remémorait the good time when the vines grew on Venesmes. In 1997, the first vines were planted. Today, two plots spread over this small commune of 850 inhabitants, at the limit of Du and Champagne Berrichonne. The three colours are produced with a dominant Sauvignon. The annual harvest produces between 30 000 and 45 000 bottles. Dominique Leduc, the manager of the operation will be happy to discover this small wine from a surprising country. Come and discover a beer brewed in the old center of Chinon, using Touraine water, French malts and hops from around the world. At the origin, Simon Armstrong, originally from England and a former stone mason, who launched himself with passion and talent into the adventure. Since 1991, this farm has developed the vineyard on 20 ha of steep and fallow land forming part of the sancerre appellation and 3 ha in menetou-lounge. The area of Old Plum covers about 65% hectares in sancerre, on slopes sometimes reaching: 7 ha planted with sauvignon (calcareous soils) and 3 ha of Pinot noir (clay-clay soils). The Guérin family has been cultivating its vines with the same passion for ten generations. This organically managed vineyard is located on the birthplace of Rabelais. The Domaine Jean-Marc and Mathieu Crochet is a question of passion, a beautiful family history that has lasted since the 16th century, allowing the creation of remarkable vintages. The estate covers 10 hectares of white Sancerre and 2 hectares of red and rosé Sancerre. Cuvée M is aged for 9 months in oak barrels, which gives it roundness and power. Family business for a century. Sylvain and Caroline are now inspired by biodynamics for the production of their wines. This estate is one of the few in the Chinon region to have all of its vineyards on the hillsides. It benefits from an exceptional exposure, allowing it to produce wines of great expression. Jean-François Delelay has been immersed in the culture of wine since his childhood. He invites you to come and discover his reds and his few rosés and whites. No doubt that you will find the perfect beverage for the aperitif or to accompany your dishes. For the holiday makers, the domain offers a camping-cars area, with barbecue and petanque ground.

This estate operates 13 ha of vineyards spread over the plain and hillsides. The vineyard converted to organic in 2018. The grape varieties used are Cabernet Franc for the red and rosé wines and Chenin for the white wine. The diversity of the soils and the age of the vines (from 20 to 80 years old) allow us to offer a variety of vintages, aged in vats, barrels or even in a terracotta egg. The wines of the plain are fruity, while those of the hillsides, more complex, are rather intended for aging. The domain also produces wine confits and grape juice.

Virginie joined her father, Gérard Bigonneau, on the 16-hectare estate before taking over the entire estate. This independent winegrower with remarkable know-how has been able to share his passion, so the next generation is assured. For now, let's taste these Quincys with their magnificent hue, particularly intense nose and ample mouthfeel. Quincy with just the right amount of fruit, perfect to accompany goat cheese or grilled fish. Reuilly blanc is better suited to fish in sauce. For the Reuilly family, the estate cultivates the 3 grape varieties: sauvignon, pinot gris (rosé) and pinot noir.

Catherine Dhoye Deruet was awarded a bronze Ligers at the Salon des Vins de Loire 2008 for her sparkling vouvray brut 2005. This winemaker makes "natural" wines (without chaptalization or yeast), vouvray wines typical of their vintage, including the famous méthode traditionnelle extra brut.

At the head of the 43.5 hectare estate, Jean-Dominique and Jean-Laurent bring a new vision of vine growing by gradually converting the vineyard to organic farming and biodynamics. An effective way to reveal a wine as natural as possible and respectful of the terroir. Producing some of the most structured white Sancerre, the estate also produces a highly aromatic rosé made from 100% pinot noir and a blend of press and bleeding juices. The wines of the Domaine Vacheron are considered as a sure value and are synonymous with quality in Sancerre, where 42 hectares of their estate occupy part of the city itself... The icing on the cake: fine oenologists consider the Belle Dame cuvée to be one of the greatest reds in the Loire. Jean-François Roy has been self-employed since 1989 in this beautiful region on the borders of Sologne, Berry and Touraine, and continues a family tradition of pleasure and quality. Its 28-hectare estate gives pride of place to the Valençay, but the touraines are not to be outdone. The winegrower has been able to diversify his activity to develop many different vintages, offering very varied expressions of their terroir. Very committed to preserving the environment, the winegrower launched his estate in an eco-responsible approach. Certified Terra Vitis, the estate has also obtained level 3 certification as a High Environmental Value Operation.

This family estate, handed down from father to son since the 17th century, opens up beautiful prospects for those who love wine, noble blood and the oath of the vine shoot. The three "varieties" Chavignol, Silex and Monts Damnés - Cul de Beaujeu are produced with 35% of the vines in flint soil (rare in the Sancerrois) and the other part in limestone soil (caillottes and white earth). The first in white, red and rosé; the other two in white and red. With 80% of the plots facing south, the vines enjoy a superb exposure. With manual harvesting employing nearly 80 people, it is patience that will be trusted, since the estate is since this year in conversion to organic farming in order to mature quality wines. Here everything has been rethought to optimize the quality, preserving the fruit as much as possible. Power and freshness are the expression of the vintages of this 33-hectare estate.

On the Appellation appellation, he is one of the few transform winemakers of Pinot gris in rosé. Of the 9 hectares of the area, 4,5 hectares are reserved for Pinot gris, planted on a land sablo-gravillonneux. This rosé comes from a direct pressing, followed by a short maceration of two hours, hence its very clear dress. The vinification and the rearing process continue in thermorégulées stainless steel tanks for a period of six months. The result is a very elegant rosé, a real basket of fruit, apricot, pear, strawberry, peach peach, redcurrant, all with a slightly acidulous touch.

Flagship estate of the appellation. This 15-hectare family estate has benefited from the contribution of five generations of winegrowers who have been able to pass on their know-how and their love of the profession, starting with the work in the vineyard to which the greatest care is taken. Vinified according to tradition, the estate's wines, made from vines aged between 35 and 80 years, benefit from the latest technical and oenological advances, with a constant concern to improve the quality of this Quincy. Since 2002, Hélène Mardon has been at the head of the estate. Red Reuilly with notes of red fruit and slightly peppery, traditional Quincy with a lot of roundness and aromas of white flowers and old vine Quincy which sublimates candied citrus fruit aromas and notes of almonds are born in this domain. Domaine Mardon works in close collaboration with Domaine Tabordet.

His Red Reuilly is distinguished by a stroke of heart at Hachette 2005 guide and visits are made Monday to Saturday from 8 h to 19 h, reception of groups up to 15 people. Closed from 15 to 31 August.

As often, wine is a family business at Domaine La Gemière which has existed since the 1970 s and the rise of the wines of Sancerre in Paris. The cellar will be built in 1981 by Daniel and Josette Millet before their two sons Sébastien and Nicolas joined them in the early 2000 s. The area now covers 18 ha, where four white wines, two red wines and one rosé are produced.

In the south of the department, in a region called Boischaut-Sud, the vines of the Geoffrenet-Morval estate are distinguished by the combination of sandy-silty red soils, from which delicate red wines are produced, and less silty soils, for aromatic rosés. The two grape varieties produced here are 70% Gamay and 30% Pinot Noir. Since the purchase of a 46 ares parcel in 2000, the estate has grown considerably and has now reached 10 ha. The estate produces 4 cuvées using sustainable agriculture: the Comte de Barcelone rosé, the cuvée Version Originale rouge, the cuvée Extra Version rouge and the cuvée Jeanne Vieilles Vignes rouge. Since 2014 it belongs to the Joseph Mellot wine group.
