MAISON PIERRE MOREL

Patisserie

Closed - Open to 10h00

Recently renovated, this window boutique, described as "macaron heaven", invites you to sample this so chic delicacy, which Pierre Morel has been playing with since 2012. In the freshness of his boutique, you'll find macarons with flavors that are sometimes classic, sometimes original, like the one combining lychee, rose and raspberry, and certainly of great finesse. As Brittany obliges, salted butter caramel has its place in a recipe where it is king, and in another where it shares the limelight with chocolate. Be careful, not a crumb will be left!

PÂTISSERIE LE DANIEL

Patisserie
3.4/5
8 reviews

Maison Le Daniel celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2023! For the occasion, it has created new limited-edition desserts. The holiday menu is always eagerly awaited. The creations of master pastry chef-chocolatier Laurent Le Daniel (MOF in pastry-making) can be enjoyed in the tearoom or at home. The Heart of Brittany is one of the house's best-sellers, a typically Breton cake with salted butter caramel, chocolate and a crunchy hazelnut cookie. We also confess to an addiction to caramel spread on crêpes - it's divine! On the catering side, brochettes, petits fours, mini-sandwiches, rustic canapés and pyramids of macaroons are a delight at all our events.

Octopus is an exclusively plant-based patisserie, a first in Brest, and even in Brittany! The idea behind this project was Galaad's desire to rethink traditional pastry recipes to create cakes that could be enjoyed by everyone, including vegetarians, vegans and allergy sufferers. As a result, you'll find no milk, eggs, butter or animal gelatin in the pastry chef's entremets, made from natural and organic products, with no additives. Lemon and chocolate tarts rub shoulders with refined fruit creations, evolving with the seasons, as well as pumpkin brioche, buckwheat muffin and hazelnut croquant, for a gourmet moment.

This house is adorned with the statue of Philomène, the dressmaker of this former haberdashery. A true Quimper institution, its reputation is so widespread that it has become a national benchmark. Macaroons are available in morello cherry, chocolate, caramel beurre salé, strawberry tagada, fig, lychee, Grand Marnier or vanilla-nougatine... Pastries, viennoiseries and ice creams are also available. We loved the Fresh Raspberry Macaronade with a light vanilla mousseline.

LA DUCHESSE DE ROHAN

Patisserie
4.5/5

Closed - Open to 07h15

This briochine institution has existed since 1936. The house has gone through times to become what it is to date: a tea salon with a variety of delights and whose amann amann, the chef's speciality, was elected better from Brittany in 2016. The bakery is not very large, but you can sit down on one of the croisette chairs to enjoy pleasure with a good tea. The wooden floors, small tablecloths and flower cups are the perfect setting. In front of so many delicacies - pastries, pies, cakes, macaroons, homemade ice creams - you can only choose. Smart chose the Bora Bora, a very personal creation since Chief Arnaud Troalic worked in Polynesia before returning to his land. The apple-passion pie - a sandblasted paste, almond cream, odawara apples and a chibouste apricot/passion cream - has also been a success. A beautiful taste experience.

It's a truly graphic composition that unfolds on the plate and floods your palate! And you can enjoy it on Sunday mornings too.

Pastry chef at only 19, Maëlig Georgelin joined the prestigious Relais Desserts International in 2012 and created his own school 4 years later. In 2016, the Carnac boutique was born, where, like its big sisters, you can find something to melt like snow in the sun all the good resolutions of the1st of the year. Among others, the Îlots de Saint-Cado (small praline cubes with caramel and cocoa), the Saint-Goustan (made with vanilla and strawberries) or the Kalamansi macaroon, this singular citrus fruit that comes from Malaysia.

PATISSERIE MADLENN

In this charming pastry shop, located in the Saint-Ideuc district, Philippe Bonfils has put all his talent into the preparation of sweet sweets. He makes it a point of honour to use only quality products without adding additives or colorants. The pastries on offer are all equally appetizing. Our favourites go for the cabbage garnished, available in different flavors, they will finish a meal pleasantly. Also, the divine lemon meringue pie, subtly dosed with sugar and bitterness, the mille-feuille with a worked puff pastry, not to mention the pavlola, a Russian dessert as light as it is delicious in the mouth. A selection of organic breads is also on sale as well as Anaïs herbal teas. It should be noted that a range of salted products is being prepared. You can also find Madlenn pastries on the markets of Saint-Servan, Paramé and Rocabey.
