Less modest than in other markets in the country, the premises of the mercado municipal are rather real restaurants. Take a seat at the few tables on the terrace and let yourself be seduced by the tempting menu. Behind the stove, Italian chef Nicola Schincaglia offers speck, smoked prosciutto, mortadella with pistachios and pecorino cheese made from sheep's milk. Located on the edge of the village, this restaurant will seduce the taste buds in need of tenderness. Claudio offers local cuisine and brings his personal touch to the classic dishes of the region. Ceviche, lamb, risotto, salmon tartar... everything is delicious, especially the Merluza Austral (hake) and the chocolate mousse with dulce de leche. Finally, we appreciate the warm decoration with ethnic accents. A tasty cuisine at a reasonable price.

Year after year, this Peruvian restaurant is always full. It serves excellent Peruvian, chifa and international cuisine. Most of the dishes are based on sea products but the menu also offers meat, risottos and vegetarian dishes. The patio and the interior decoration are very tasteful: pre-Columbian art rubs shoulders with frescoes of traditional pirogues on the walls. The must? Sip a pisco sour cocktail outside on the terrace while enjoying the pool. A real little nugget!

This small, traditional restaurant is undoubtedly the best in Copiapó to date. An excellent Japanese cuisine restaurant with authentic and surprising flavours. The chef/owner has lived in Tokyo and will give you a warm welcome: the service is top notch! He goes from table to table to describe and explain the flavours of his menu. The quality is good in a particularly intimate environment (only a few tables). However, the rules are a bit strict (reservation in advance, no children, limited number of people), but the place is really worth a visit.

A nice address that offers different fish and meat à la carte, in a definitely tropical decor. The restaurant also has a pleasant terrace where you can drink refreshing cocktails. You will be warmly welcomed by Jorge, always smiling and in a good mood. Here, we prefer to taste the flavors of the sea: tuna ceviche, camarones al pil pil, octopus... even if we appreciate the sweet and sour associations like the pork with honey or shrimp sauce. A simple cuisine, but still creative, good appetite!

This small restaurant offers only a few tables, most of them are located on the terrace. And it could go unnoticed if the dishes were not so good! We highly recommend the camarones al pil pil, the fish soup and the ceviche of course, absolutely tasty. With a pisco sour as a starter, it's all done! Otherwise, try the natural juices, very fresh, based on passion fruit. It's fresh and delicious. The service is very pleasant and provided by a Chilean owner who was married to a Rapa Nui for a long time. An excellent discovery.

Another address with generously garnished plates! The menu offers a variety of dishes based on fish, ceviches, shellfish and some meats. The place is pleasant with its terrace overlooking the street. The owner, Colette, is originally from the Marquesas Islands: if she is present, you will be able to chat in French! Impeccable service, beautiful presentation and excellent welcome. The local group Varua Ora performs typical Rapa Nui and Polynesian dances every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9pm in the restaurant.

Very pleasant setting, in a family home that has been converted into a restaurant, with a lovely outdoor terrace. Tomas, a young leader, is responsible for this ambitious project. It is open for all at noon, but in the evening the kitchen space receives on reservation only (48 hours in advance, between 6 and 12 people). Paola and Osvaldo used to sell their empanadas by bicycle in Bahía Inglesa in 1994. Since then, they have opened this very good and affordable restaurant where everything in the kitchen is reminiscent of the flavours of the ocean. This imposing three-story restaurant has several rooms, all nicely decorated and different from each other, as well as a recently inaugurated hidden terrace.
