This intimate and warm, yet somewhat off-centre restaurant is also a workshop and cooking school in its spare time. We offer succulent traditional Chilean dishes (pastel de centolla, machas a la parmesana, ciervo...) in a charming and divinely typical setting! They produce a delicious homemade beer, but you can also choose the pisco sour which also convinced us. One of the best addresses in the area, the service is attentive, the cuisine is local and the setting is quite pleasant.

The principle, as the name suggests, is that we can get breakfast at any time! Nice for late risers. Nice décor: painted slabs, windows, shelves, like an old shop. You can read his newspaper and buy tea, oatmeal cakes, alfajores… Vegetarians are not forgotten. Lunch menu at noon.

Incredible! We're almost entering people. The atmosphere is family, everyone active in kitchen or service. The dishes are typical and of surprising quality: Chilean gastronomers regard it as the best address in town (the lomo liso, what delight)! In any case, it is by far the most original. Warmly recommended. 

Next to Dane's coffee, good Chilean picada, offering a snack at low prices.

Italian specialities, including good fresh pasta. Antipasti, carpaccio, gnocchis, lasagna, risottos, fettucini… Very correct together.

A very recommendable table in the hotel of the same name. Local specialities are tasty. Undoubtedly, Raul is a blue cord. Refined cuisine, one of the best on the island. Reservations required because our host leaves the market in function.

In front of the tavern and the small harbour. Good little address that offers rich sandwiches and a good bill. Reasonable prices.

Rather to eat snacks or simple dishes. The location is very charming, the friendly service. The pub atmosphere in the evening is at the most exciting occasion. The speciality of the house is reminiscent of the Chorrillana in Valparaíso. We feel good.

We love a lot of tuna carpaccio or mango pie.

To eat and drink cheap (at least for the island). The reception is nice and good child. The whole is correct.

Good pasta and excellent pizzas in this room often full (therefore need to be patient) located in a residential area. Also parrilladas for carnivores.

Good restaurant.

An address that definitely has its charm: the decor is full of regional antiques from the time of the saltpetre epic. You will taste local dishes at low prices: sibayano de cojinova y quinoa, huataca del chango, lapas rebozadas or espumita de mango... the food is of good quality and the portions are generous. The cocktails are up to the task. Concerts are regularly organized as well as storytelling recitals(cuenta-cuentos). A popular address, but the service can be random and the wait sometimes long.

We eat it well, but it goes to its sumptuous Spanish-Moorish atmosphere. Built in 1904 by Miguel Retornado, the casino is distinguished by its ornate facade and its extraordinary balcony. On the walls, paintings illustrating the scenes of the Don Quixote are the work of a Spanish painter at the beginning of the century, Vicente Tordesillas. On the second floor are six paintings, mainly historical, of the contemporary Chilean painter Sixto García. Even if you don't intend to sit there, take a look at this truly enchanting building. The service of the restaurant is not excellent, but that does not prevent you from tasting a succulent pisco sour.

Decorated like a family house, this restaurant is specialized in the typical Chilean cooking. You sit at large tables dressed with white tablecloths, the decoration all around is basic to say the least, but the atmosphere is pleasant. For more than thirty years, Los Aleros has been serving very good meats, empanadas and some fish and seafood options. A very local address that regularly comes alive on football match nights. A good value for money place to eat.

Original Deco: one would think in an old mill! Pine wood gives its stamp to the whole. Popular with locals.

A relaxed atmosphere for this popular restaurant. On the menu: pizzas, tablas, dishes and spirits.

Really the best value for money in the city. Sandwiches, pizza or some Chilean dishes such as chorrillana can be eaten. Meals between $ 2 000 and $ 3 000 and jug of beer at $ 3 190. Really not bad.

Picturesque atmosphere.

It's one of the most popular restaurants in town: it's always full or almost full! You can sit on the pleasant outdoor patio and enjoy hearty dishes of good quality. Whether it's grilled fish (caught locally) or shrimp risotto, the menu offers good options and changes regularly. Vegetarian dishes are also available. Finally, the place is very lively, with its pub-like atmosphere: it's loud, the children enjoy it, and it's perfect with friends or family.

Open since 1959, it is known as the "big little café of Valdivia". The warm wooden interior is decorated with period mugs and crockery. They serve pies, kuchen with nuts, empañadas, sandwiches and an excellent draught beer. But people come here above all for its crudo, a typical German-Chilean dish consisting of a "steak tartare with onions", which is the specialty of the house! A historical reference where the service may be slow, but the attention is always there. Good value for money.

You can eat very good empanadas. There are quite a few varieties.

The atmosphere is excellent in this bistro, which prepares fine and sophisticated dishes. Music lounge, soul and fusion to accompany your meal.

Good Chilean cuisine typical at soft prices. Very popular with locals.

This resto-bar offers a nice decoration and a well filled menu. The owner settled here more than 20 years ago after many trips to Europe, the atmosphere is definitely young and international. From spring rolls to Mexican burritos, passing by the Greek salad, the dishes are cosmopolitan, copious and served with a smile. The menu is reasonably priced, but don't expect high gastronomy: it remains simple and correct. Note also that it is one of the only gayfriendly places in the area.

Here, the atmosphere is calmer, the dishes are good and hearty and the menu is rather varied. The dishes are homemade and the menu is really cheap for the good portions they offer: try to go there for lunch, you'll eat well and your wallet will thank you! Try the succulent paila marina: here, this soup of crustaceans, molluscs and fish in a Chilean sauce is accompanied by a piece of smoked pork and sausages. Otherwise all the fish is delicious, well sauced and seasoned. A good plan for small budgets.

Chinese dishes rich and not expensive. Slow service sometimes, but the value for money is excellent.

Cheap wines. To try: The risotto of quinoa, the chicken to Rica-Rica, the typical milanesa napolitana Argentine… The card is in French and you exchange books.

Cozy restaurant of Italian cuisine, also offering good meat, fish, pizza, seafood and some Asian dishes. An option that will convince everyone, however, since there is definitely something for everyone! We advise you to concentrate on the house specialty, namely risottos, lasagne or stuffed pasta, or to go for seafood: it's fresh and local. The whole remains correct although we sometimes regret the portions that may be small.

"CHIPE LIBRE is a new, totally sovereign republic born in 2014 from the annexation of northern Chile and southern Peru by the fundamentalists of Pisco!" And that's all there is to it! With its decor playing on propaganda-revolutionary imagery, this popular and cool address is both a restaurant and a pisco bar. On the plate, you'll find a whole range of typical Chilean and Peruvian dishes (the ceviches are great!). When it comes to cocktails, of course, pisco takes top honors! More lively in the evening.

Who says eating well is expensive? This inexpensive Chilean kitchen is perfect for lunch. They bring you a small piece of paper with a few options for dishes (the casuelas and lentil soups are delicious) all set in a tree-lined backyard where the birds come to sing. The service is not exceptional, but the portions are generous and the prices are mini compared to the average restaurant in the village. And considering the flavour of the dishes, you will have understood, this small address is worth the detour.

If you're looking for a small, go-to restaurant ready to concoct your lunchtime snacks then look no further! Roots will satisfy any craving with gluten free and vegetarian options, the sandwiches are homemade and eaten with love. It's the perfect choice if you're looking for a takeaway for a day out. On site, the space is small and charming, the walls are lined with pictures of pop culture icons and the girls serving are all smiles. Finally, the coffee is particularly delicious!

On the road to the volcano, you won't miss this cosy restaurant all in volcanic stone and cosy interior. We serve a tasty and different gastronomy based on game: deer, roe deer, wild boar or wild rabbit, the menu is nice! More basic dishes such as soups and pizzas are also available. An ideal break after a long day on the slopes. We particularly appreciate the setting, both inside - carpets made of animal skins and fireplaces - and outside, with the view of the forest and the volcano.

A nice find, although the restaurant is not necessarily easy to find. We come there to taste delicious preparations while enjoying the sunset, once again simply magical... Offers a lot of fishes like ceviche - we talk about the best of the island, tuna or matahuira with sweet potato, served in big shells. Most of the dishes are accompanied by richly flavoured sauces (including an excellent soy and honey sauce). The prices are relatively low for this address which we recommend 100%.

A small, cosy and unpretentious restaurant, close to the main square, which offers very interesting options for lunch: every day a starter-dish-dessert menu is offered. In addition to being very good and generously served, the menu will delight small budgets, the prices are more than reasonable. You can taste the specialties of the region such as trout or carne de lomo, homemade pasta, pizzas and delicious homemade desserts. Fast and very friendly service, a great place to eat!

An unpretentious address run by Ana Maria, a young woman, all smiles, who offers dishes at reasonable prices. Both the hungry and the thirsty will have something to salivate over: different pasta options, soups, sandwiches, home-made beers, delicious pastries. You can enjoy quality dishes with generous portions and lively music: did you know that there was a Latino version of "Voyage Voyage"? (for the more curious, it is called "Vuela Vuela" and the staff of the restaurant loves it!)

Simple and imaginative cuisine, creatively flavoured dishes and a relaxed atmosphere: this is how to describe in a few words this pretty address, perfectly located in the heart of the Lastarria district. Take a seat on the sunny terrace and choose from the house's delicious options: beef and pumpkin gnocchi, market ceviche, southern hake, crab gratin... the plates guarantee freshness and quality products. For lunch, the menu of the day proposes starter, main course, dessert and drink for an excellent value for money.

Rayuela Wine & Grill is the restaurant of the Viu Manent winery in Colchagua. Set in bucolic, pleasant surroundings, the restaurant's tables offer a taste of fine local wine and Chilean cuisine. The setting is rural, with panoramic views over the surrounding vineyards, the equestrian club and the Apalta hills. The cuisine is a pleasant surprise, with well-crafted dishes based on local ingredients. These include meat dishes, grilled fish and seafood.
