Unlike some who want to impress without ever having proven anything in a kitchen, fortunately there are professional craft that open "simple" establishments to make a "family" kitchen, good and not expensive, the one you love above all at lunchtime. Former of the Rose Tower, a Michelin star in Switzerland, the chef knows his classics and works with good seasonal products to develop a gourmet card. Fresh products for dishes listed in the slate of the day, with speciality fish. On the map, you can find a crunchy gorgonzola of figues to get started, a tuna pavé, a pan of gambas or a côtes lamb ribs, to conclude on a hot chocolate bowl or tiramisu with red fruits for only 4,50 €. Two young graduates from the hotel school in Toulon, Julie and Sebastien, welcome you in their small restaurant to make you appreciate their simple, traditional and Provencal cuisine made home at a soft price. Every noon, a dish of the day and a with grill are offered. They have recently been innovating with European sushi sales, makis and nigiris, made from vegetables or meat. 

A few steps from the train station, in a well-kept marine setting, you will find a choice of impressive mould preparations, but also other seafood products, including seafood trays. Compulsive carnivores can reassure themselves; meat is also on the menu. The diligent service allowed us to restore ourselves quickly, with care and kindness. The generous caquelons quickly calmed down stomachs that were crying hungry and increasingly rare, a home mayonnaise accompanied our fries.

Very busy every day of the week because here we know how to cope with the flow of lunch with speed but serenity. The location is bright and colorful, the variety of pizzas and fresh pasta proposed is impressive. You can see the pizza that comes into the bread oven and you get sick in advance. This is the address to keep in mind to eat good pizzas in the city centre after the courses or after the races.

The famous Grand Café de la Rade has a new team since summer 2012. The greatest pleasure is that the new chef offers a delicious cuisine on the beautiful large terrace overlooking the harbour or in the nice and big dining room. The carte offers a wide choice of dishes and daily specials that suits all budgets with menus from 11.90 € to 22.90 €. There are excellent recipes and ideas to discover with or to start with our salad dishes: Antipasti misti, Homardine (300 g of lobster), Caribbean salad, salmon and Woks, crisp vegetables and Asian noodles. For dishes, you can savour Aiguillettes duck and spice crusted tatin potatoes, prepared beef tartar, Chicken breast roasted with honey and lime accompanied by asparagus gratin with parmesan. Finally, for sweets, the crunchy dark chocolate made in Toblerone way, Baba soaked in rum and crushed candied fruit, homemade Bocalito tirmisu with coffee and a selection of ice-creams and sorbets will delight you. At any time on the terrace, you can enjoy the landscape with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate, a drink with friends, or cool off with a cocktail of fresh fruit or a glass of ice-cream.
