This 4-week itinerary allows you to become aware of the diversity and richness of Bolivia, with its grandiose landscapes, from the peaks of the Andes to the Amazonian forest, from the pre-Columbian vestiges to the cities classified as world heritage sites. It is not too much to cross the Oriente, the immense Altiplano from south to north and from east to west, as well as the Amazon.

Day 1: Santa Cruz, the economic capital
Steps: Santa Cruz, Samaipata, Fuerte De Samaipata
Santa Cruz - El Fuerte - Samaipata. Arrival in Santa Cruz. Departure to Samaipata, a peaceful village located at 1650 m of altitude. Visit of the ruins ofEl Fuerte, the fortress of unknown origin. Beautiful place in a buffer region between the Amazon and the Andes.
Day 2: In the National Park of Amboró
Steps: Parque Nacional Amboro, Bermejo, Cuevas
Samaipata - Amboró - Bermejo - Cuevas - Samaipata. Take a cab and a guide for an excursion to the forest of Amboró Park, half an hour from the village. From El Sillar, panoramic view of the Amboró Park. Walking tour to the volcanoes refuge, then transfer by vehicle to Bermejo and the volcanoes lagoon. Short excursion on foot before reaching the waterfalls of Cuevas. Possible bathing in a dream setting. Return to Samaipata at the end of the day.
Day 3: Trees and giant ferns
Steps: Parque Nacional Amboro
Samaipata - Amboró - Santa Cruz. Departure in the morning around 8:30 am for the forest of the Amboró park where you will discover some species of giant trees unique in the world and several varieties of wild orchids. Excursion on foot surrounded by giant ferns reaching up to 13 m in height. Return to Santa Cruz in the evening.
Day 4: Santa Cruz, the historical capital
Steps: Santa Cruz, Sucre
Santa Cruz - Sucre. Flight from Santa Cruz to the historical capital of Bolivia (2,780 m), Sucre. Visit the colonial city, listed as a World Heritage Site, and be enchanted by one of the most beautiful cities in Latin America. Dinner in one of the excellent restaurants of the white city.
Day 5: Around Sucre
Sucre - Maragua (or Tarabuco) - Sucre. Two possibilities: one day trek to the crater of Maragua along an ancient Inca trail and discover the sumptuous landscapes of the region, or possibility to go to the colorful market of Tarabuco, near Sucre, on Sunday. Return to Sucre in the late afternoon.
Day 6: Potosi, a UNESCO heritage villa
Steps: Potosí
Sucre - Potosi. Early morning departure for the imperial city of Potosi, also a world heritage site. Acclimatization to the altitude (more than 4,000 m), visit of the colonial city, theSan Francisco church and the Casa de la Moneda.
Day 7: Visit to the mines
Potosi - Tupiza. Visit of the mines of Cerro Rico in the morning, then heading south to Tupiza (2 850 m).

Day 8: The Bolivian Far West
Steps: Tupiza
Tupiza. In the morning, horseback riding in the Quebrada Palmira, in landscapes worthy of the American Wild West. Afternoon relaxation before starting the challenging circuit of the South-Lípez.

Day 9: On the slopes of a volcano
Steps: Sud-Lípez
Tupiza - South Lípez. Head west to El Sillar, San Pablo de Lípez and Laguna Morejon. This route gives you the opportunity to experience the South-Lípez far from the touristy tracks. You will pass through traditional villages, pass a high pass (almost 5,000 m) on the slopes of the Uturuncu volcano (6,008 m), rich in condors and eagles. Night in Quetena Grande (4 200 m) before joining the classic circuit.

Day 10: Dali Desert and geysers
Steps: Parque Nacional Sajama, Sud-Lípez, Laguna Verde
Quetana - Huayllas. Direction the desert of Dalí then the volcano Licancabur (5 920 m), the Laguna Verde while going up towards the thermal baths and the geysers Sol de Mañana. Then we reach the Laguna Colorada and its colony of flamingos. Night and sunset in Huayllas (4 320 m).
Day 11: Colorful lagoon and pink flamingos
Steps: Sud-Lípez
Huayllas-Atullcha. Sunrise on the Laguna Colorada, then direction the Siloli desert and the stone tree. You will see then 4 magnificent lagoons coiled at the foot of the volcano Ollagüe (5 868 m): the Lagunas Hedionda, Chiarkota, Cañapa and Negra. We take the time to admire the Salar de Chiguana and the old railroad connecting Bolivia to Chile, then we go to the mirador of the volcano Ollagüe. Night in Atullcha.
Day 12: Uyuni Salt Desert
Steps: Salar De Uyuni, Uyuni
Atullcha - Uyuni. We finish the route with the apotheosis of the Salar of Uyuni and the Isla Incahuasi. Night in Uyuni.
Day 13: A train cemetery
Steps: Uyuni, San Vicente, Pulacayo
Uyuni - Pulacayo - Uyuni. In the morning, direction the ghost town of Pulacayo where we can see a locomotive attacked by Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid! The afternoon is dedicated to the visit of the train cemetery of Colchani. Return to Uyuni and night bus to La Paz (or night train to Oruro, then bus to La Paz).

Day 14: The highest capital in the world
La Paz. Discovery of the Bolivian capital located at about 3 700 m of altitude: the Casco Viejo, the Plaza Murillo and the museums of the Calle Jaén, thechurch San Francisco and the market of the witches of the streets Illampu and Sagárnaga. Dinner at a fancy restaurant in Sopocachi.

Day 15: Heading towards the Titicaca lake
Steps: Copacabana, Lac Titicaca, Tiwanaku
La Paz - Tiwanaku - Copacabana. Early morning departure to the archaeological site of Tiwanaku. Visit of the pre-Columbian vestiges, which are among the most important of the continent. End of the day in Copacabana, on the shores of Lake Titicaca, and its magnificent basilica of the Virgen de la Candelaria.

Day 16: The Island of the Sun
Steps: Isla Del Sol
Copacabana - Isla del Sol. Early morning departure for the most important island of Lake Titicaca, the Isladel Sol. Stroll through the village of Yumani and enjoy the fantastic views of the lake and the peaks of the Andes. Night in Yumani.

Day 17: The Island of the Sun, the suite
Steps: Isla Del Sol
Yumani - Challapampa. Hike through this mythical island to get to the village of Challapampa and discover the Inca temple of Chinkana. Return by boat to Copacabana, then to La Paz.
Day 18: The Death Road by bike
Steps: Coroico
La Paz-Coroico. Early morning departure for La Cumbre (4,670 m), about 45 km above La Paz, to start the Death Road circuit by mountain bike. Descent to Yolosa, located at 1 300 m of altitude. You go from the Andean summits to the luxuriant vegetation of the Yungas in a few hours! Lunch in Yolosa and return to La Paz.
Day 19: Around La Paz
Steps: Valle De La Luna, Muela Del Diablo, Chacaltaya
Several options are available: a visit to El Valle de la Luna and its amazing geological formations, a hike to the Muela del Diablo for the most spectacular view of La Paz, or, for the most courageous, a trek from Chacaltayo, the former ski resort, taking you to 5,470 m of altitude! Sumptuous views on the Huayna Potosi and the surroundings. Dinner and show in one of the peñas of the capital.
Day 20: In the Amazon
Steps: Rurrenabaque, Parque Nacional Madidi
La Paz - Rurrenabaque. Morning flight in a small plane to Rurrenabaque, a small Amazonian city located on the banks of the Beni River, at the gates of the Madidi National Park. Day dedicated to the discovery of the culture and the inhabitants of this typical Amazonian city, at the antipodes of the Andean Bolivia.
Day 21: Madidi National Park
Madidi National Park. 2-day rainforest tour with one of the many agencies in Rurrenabaque. Hike in the rainforest and overnight in a community shelter in the heart of the park. Return the next day to "Rurre".
Day 22: Madidi National Park, the suite
Steps: Parque Nacional Madidi
Continue exploring Madidi National Park.
Day 23: Biodiversity of the Yacuma Reserve
Steps: Santa Rosa Del Yacuma
Rurrenabaque - Las Pampas del Yacuma. Excursion of 2 days in the reserve of Yacuma, in Santa Rosa. On the program: boat rides to see the many animals present (pink dolphins, caimans, turtles, monkeys, emus, birds of paradise, herons...), go on the trail of the anaconda in the surrounding swamps, or try piranha fishing. Night in a refuge and return to Rurrenabaque the next day.
LAS PAMPAS DEL YACUMA
Day 24: Yacuma Reserve, the suite
Continue exploring in the Yacuma Reserve.
Day 25: La Paz cable car
Rurrenabaque - La Paz. Flight to the highest capital of the world. Day dedicated to the exploration of the city and its amazing cable car, and to shopping.
Day 26: Return to Santa Cruz
Steps: Santa Cruz
La Paz - Santa Cruz - Return flight. Flight to Santa Cruz. If you have some time before your flight, possibility to relax in the Biocentro Guëmbé complex with its numerous swimming pools.
