The Dalí Desert is located in the Eduardo Avarao Reserve at an altitude of 4,750 meters and covers an area of approximately 110 km². It is an absolutely bewitching site. It is so called because of its obvious resemblance to some of the paintings of the Spanish master and member of the surrealist movement. Everything is there: the colors, the harmony, the suspended time and, from time to time, a ñandu which crosses the plain at 80 km per hour! Notice to photographers: the landscapes vary during the day according to the play of the shadows and the light.
