In Greek, agape means "divine and unconditional love". Vincent Sipp has chosen to name his estate after this word because, he says, "wine is a link with the past and we are transmitters of emotions". The excellent work of this sympathetic winegrower has not escaped the eye of the critics: his wines are often cited in the leading wine magazines. His Riesling Expression is a little marvel of minerality. As for his Crémant d'Alsace Rosé Brut, its delicious aromas of raspberry currant can be enjoyed as an aperitif as well as with dessert!

This brotherhood is one of the oldest in France. It works to promote the knowledge of Alsatian wines. The headquarters of the Confrérie Saint-Étienne is located at the Château de Kientzheim. It includes an extraordinary wine library with the oldest vintages dating back to 1834! The Confrérie Saint-Étienne also issues the coveted "Sigille" label, guaranteeing the quality of the wines concerned. Throughout the year, it organizes thematic oenological events dedicated to amateurs and aspiring connoisseurs of Alsace wines.

The Bannwarth family has been harvesting the fruit of 16 hectares of vines for 4 generations. While all regional grape varieties are vinified, the estate has a predilection for Gewurztraminer "L'Expression du Terroir" and crémant. The grapes are harvested by hand, pneumatically pressed and vinified in stainless steel vats, followed by ageing on fine lees. A tasting session will provide you with information about the soils and their influence on the wine and its aromas.

It is a recognized and appreciated address in Alsace. More than 400^m2 of surface, with more than 2 000 references (wines, whiskies and rums) with magnificent petrus, beautiful series of old vintage Bordeaux. Accessible wines for all budgets but also some rarities including 2 very prestigious domains that only a few wine shops sell in France. Dugat and Jean-Louis Chave, for the connoisseurs. Our attention was also drawn to the hundred or so beer references, the hobby of Nicolas, a passionate brewer. It is difficult to summarize in a few lines the extent of the Relais des Vignes' range... HVE certified, this superb estate has been run from father to son for over 250 years. Hertz wines are made from grapes grown exclusively on the estate. Some cuvées (such as the fabulous Pinot Gris Grand Cru Rangen) are aged in the historic cellars of the Hospices de Strasbourg. Bruno will show you around his beautiful ^16th-century cellar, before you taste fine nectars such as this Sylvaner Hospices de Strasbourg 2020, awarded one star in the Guide Hachette. Guided tours of the vineyards in a 2CV or Mehari (3 pers) with picnic or lunch in a local restaurant!

It is the oldest family business producing preserved fruit in France. Since 1921, 4 generations of the Beyer family have succeeded each other at the head of the Alsatian company. Thanks to the quality of its products and its traditional know-how, it offers different products such as jams and fruit preserves. Its latest innovation? Fruit spreads With 96% fruit, this range was awarded the Social and Societal Innovation prize. It is the ^first range of Nutriscore A products in the jam section!

This downtown butcher's shop is the perfect demonstration of what Mulhousians expect! When you open the door, you're transported back to the small village shops of yesteryear. Crisp baguettes, pure-butter croissants and good cheer await you here! That's how you could describe the famous bakeries run by Patrick, the bakery maestro since the 1970s! He got off to a merry start by taking his delicious bread directly to the towers of the ZUP, much to the delight of the residents. He then gradually launched his bakeries, initially named Wilson, since the first one opened on rue Wilson in Mulhouse, and as success grew, others followed. Today, they're called By Riclin.

The Freudenreich family have been winegrowers since 1730! The estate covers 8.5 hectares. Some parcels are located in the Bergweingarten area (renowned for its clay-limestone soils), and Côte de Rouffach. The vines are ploughed, and vinified using indigenous yeasts in wooden barrels. In the cellar, Christophe gives full expression to the identity of the terroir specific to each of the wines he crafts with inexhaustible passion. These are fine, elegant, well-balanced wines, always very fresh.

Here is an ideal place to air out your family while picking your fruits and vegetables! Bring your little basket and come and pick mirabelle plums, plums, quetsches, blueberries, cherries, raspberries? Not to mention delicious varieties of apples: Wellant, Pirouette, Elstar, Belle de Boskoop... The shop offers a wide choice of seasonal fruit, as well as jams, gingerbread and honey from the honey factory in Le Bois Matisse in Labaroche. Here, we work with local producers and the range of products has grown over the years.

As a finalist in the Best Cellarman of France 2022 competition, Maxime masters his subject well when he advises his customers on wine, beer or whisky. At Hopla Vins, he offers more than 300 references in spirits and 400 in wines, including many organic and biodynamic wines. Maxime also organizes tasting evenings (available upon reservation) around various themes, always accompanied by cold cuts and cheeses... You can even privatize the place for private tasting evenings. We love it!

Dreamlike and poetic: a timeless feeling emerges in Stéphane's cellar, a space dressed with imposing blocks of Vosges sandstone and local limestone. The place exudes a subtle atmosphere of contemplation. In addition to venerable wooden barrels, one discovers qvevri, earthenware jars from Georgia that give birth to wines made from grapes brought to full maturity, revealing complex fragrances. Here, the welcome and advice are top notch!

Gardening is not the main activity of this store. On the other hand, you can find almost all the products you need to be a perfect bio-citizen, from the bamboo sock to the essential oil diffuser, including groceries and fresh vegetables. A lot of references with a very nice collection of food supplements, from local producers and above all, Christian Horrenberger's wise, sharp and always smiling advice. Everything is thought out with respect for the earth and what lives on it.

Certified organic since 2018, this 13 ha estate is undoubtedly a historic estate in Eguisheim since it exists since the ^17th century! For 20 years, Michel Ginglinger and his wife have been leading it with a master's hand to offer more and more authentic and divine wines, from perfectly managed parcels for a ripe and healthy grape! In the cellar, bright, subtly mixing the charm of the old building mixed with the bar and contemporary furniture, taste without hesitation the Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Pfersigberg 2020, fruity and elegant!

The Belvedere of the Maison Joseph Cattin is absolutely sublime! On the first floor, the tuns and barrels of the cellar can be seen through impressive glass walls. On the first floor, a superb wine bar is surrounded by an immense vegetated terrace that offers a 360° view of the vineyard, the Alsace plain and the Black Forest. Here, wine tourism is very popular: cellar visits, tasting of good wines accompanied by local products, "food and wine pairing" workshops, vineyard tours on foot, by bike or in an all-terrain electric gyropod!

Denis Wurtz has a degree in oenology and manages his beautiful 10 ha estate. He produces wines that are highly appreciated for their straightforwardness. Some good wines to taste during your visit: Pinot Noir (excellent wine for ageing in oak barrels), Héphaïstos (100% pinot blanc, gris and noir), Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives (racy, powerful and concentrated). Note that the Domaine de la Vieille Forge has a very picturesque gîte that can accommodate 5 guests in complete comfort.

Emeritus oenologist Thierry Scherrer masterfully manages his family estate, which is HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certified. His talent is regularly acclaimed: his Pinot Noir 2022 is included in the selection of the Guide Hachette des Vins. His Muscat Cuvée Bernard 2022 and his Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Kaefferkopf 2018, with their delicious aromas of apricots zested with citrus fruit, are also highly appreciated.Thierry Scherrer can welcome small groups of around ten people to present his estate. A tasting in the cellar between the barrels completes the visit!

Although Maison Dodin shines by its discretion, its know-how is unanimously acclaimed, notably at the Frankfurt International Trophy 2022 with a gold medal for its organic PDO Munster cheese, matured in the traditional way. A maturing tradition that began in 1908 with Adrien Bertrand. Traditional Munster, with cumin, natural white matured or not, Munstiflette Munster, from 125 g to 1.2 kg, there is something for all moods and tastes and it will accompany you in winter, by melting it for example or in summer, as an accompaniment to your salads.

A beautiful place where many local Alsatian producers come together, but not only... Esprit d'Alsace is also a gourmet brand whose production center is located next to the store. The idea is to offer quality local products, with a focus on promoting Alsace's culinary and craft traditions. On the store side, you'll find the best heritage specialties, while on the production side, the emphasis is on fresh pasta with no added glutamate or preservatives. Impossible not to find what you're looking for!

Bees are inexorably disappearing in France: the fault lies with pesticides, certain parasites and the Asian Hornet. In the heart of the Pays Welsche, Benoît Parmentier works to preserve the beekeeping world. He thus raises bees in a preserved environment, in 5-star hives nicely decorated with bright colours that brighten up the surrounding nature. Benoît elaborates various varieties of honey that seduce the taste buds with their refined flavours and soft textures. To be discovered on site or at the boutique of the hotel Les Alisiers in Lapoutroie.

The roots of the Braun family go back to 1583. In 1978, Camille Braun passed on the torch to her son Christophe who cultivates the family estate in an ecological, organic and biodynamic way (certified Bio and Demeter since 2005). The vines are grown on various terroirs: the Grand Cru Pfingstberg and the Grand Cru Kaefferkopf as well as on the Bollenberg hill, the Lippelsberg, the Buchrod and around Uffholtz. The family has set up 2 rural gîtes at the foot of the Bollenberg.

Seven generations have lovingly cultivated the 130 hectares of the Domaines, shaping the hillsides of Guebwiller. The use of Franc-Comtois horses to plough the steepest plots, the 50 km of terraced walls, and the vinification in century-old tuns all bear witness to the desire to combine tradition with the latest technology. Anxious to share their vision of a respectful and responsible viticulture, the managers have developed a wine tourism offer which is worth the detour: visit of the vineyards, the cellars and tasting of the wines of the exploitation.

The small, rustic store in the heart of the family farm sells a wide range of products: milk, bibalakass, siasskass, munster, mammersbach tomme, randonneau (plain or caraway), bargkass, butter..

Since 2014, Jean-Guillaume has run this 25-hectare family estate in the company of his oenologist wife, Céline. Working the soil is paramount for him, who is keen to develop his wines, which have been certified organic since 2021. The estate's terroirs - Grands Crus Kirchberg, Altenbgerg and Grossberg - are highlighted by wines of undeniable quality. Try the Pinot Noir Osmose, aged 12 months in oak barrels, with its lightly woody nose and silky mouthfeel, or the Pinot Gris Clos Ribeaupierre, with its fine, mineral nose and rich, fresh mouthfeel.

HVE-certified, this family-run estate is run by Julien and Aurélie, who are deeply committed to preserving first-rate winemaking traditions. To discover during your visit: Riesling Gand Cru Schoenenbourg 2017 (rated 93/100 by Swedish sommelier Andreas Larsson), Pinot Gris Grand Cru Mandelberg 2019 (2* Hachette des Vins), Crémant d'Alsace Rosé (1* Hachette des Vins). Aurélie and Julien welcome you to their Gîte du Vigneron, a comfortable apartment for 2-6 people.

Right in the heart of the Riquewihr vineyards, the Bra'V microbrewery has been nestled since 1998. Here, classic beers such as Pale Ale, Amber Ale and Weizen blend with more daring and atypical offerings such as whisky- or wine-barrel-aged beers, smoked beers, crémant beers and the Black Page with its coffee and dark chocolate aromas. You can drop by the boutique, book a tour of the brewery or enjoy a convivial moment in the biergarten on summer evenings.

This 8 ha estate is certified AB bio since 2013 and Demeter (biodynamic) since the 2020 vintage. It has vines on the famous Grand Cru Goldert terroir which produces famous gewurztraminers and muscats. We particularly appreciate the welcome of the Humbrech family. Sylvie, Claude and Maxime describe with passion their wines during a tasting in the cellar. We particularly like the Gewurztraminer Côté Terre 2018 (1 star in the Guide Hachette des Vins 2022). Oenology courses are available for a fee and last 3.5 hours upon reservation.

The Laurent family practices organic dairy farming. Here, you will discover the profession of breeder, the farm animals (cows, horses, pigs). Through the windows of the cheese dairy, you will witness the different phases of cheese making. You will also be able to participate in the milking of the dairy. Before you leave, fill up on good organic products! Tchic (fresh white cheese of the day), munster, barkass, raclette, faisselle, yoghurts... You will also find products from the Ferme Laurent at L'Échoppe Paysanne in Ribeauvillé.

Along with the Rue du Siphon address, Caves Baumann is the anchor point for many Mulhousians with a passion for fine wines. In the Walter family, the passion for wine has been passed down from father to son over more than 4 generations! This estate produces all the Alsatian grape varieties on 13 ha, notably the Grand Cru Steinert and the 1er Cru Côte de Rouffach. In some plots, the planting of flowers enhances the complexity of the different grape varieties. The vinification is carried out in century-old oak tuns! It is the ideal place to make a stopover in a motor home as the setting is so bucolic ...

A pioneer in ecological market gardening, Jean-Paul Horrenberger converted his family farm to organic farming in 1969. Last June, this visionary opened a new 850^m2 sales space just opposite the Hôtel Europe. Côté Nature is a bit like an indoor market, with a whole host of fresh produce on offer: fruit and vegetables from the farm, of course, but also a wide selection of breads, cheeses and dairy products, as well as a butcher's department selling by the slice. Eric Roellinger, producer of the week, welcomes you on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in his sales area and advises you on the farm products he operates with his wife Christine. Here you will find seasonal fruit and vegetables, eggs of their high-open hens and quality cheeses. Other items from nearby farms complete your shopping cart: beef, veal, oublier and chicken, from the rational agriculture for which they chose. And since you're going to treat yourself with such good fresh products, why not complete your purchases with honey or C'my jam, at the same number of Mulhouse Street?

This cheese dairy is run by cheese refiners from Munster: Anne and Cyril Lang know their field inside out! Matured or fresh cheeses, raw milk or pasteurized milk, there is something for everyone here and if you feel lost, don't panic, the team of the cheese dairy will advise you perfectly. You will surely find what you are looking for, as with the "chauffe-moi", a munster type cheese that will sublimate your winter evenings.

Thomas welcomes you to his cheese shop/bar with a smile! Are you a cheese fan? This place is for you! It's a gold mine for AOC, AOP and organic cheeses, local or from elsewhere. There's a cheese bar where you can enjoy a glass of wine to match your plate. Thomas regularly organizes fondue evenings, raclette evenings, cheese and wine pairings and more. A beautiful regional butcher's shop, a bakery and a drive allow the consumer to have everything at hand in a minimum of time. And icing on the cake, a mini-farm for children and a nursery for amateur gardeners are part of the concept. All in one!

Delicatessen, beer, wine, jewelry, decorating ideas... Au Plaisir d'offrir is a little bit of everything in one beautiful place. One might ask why David Eberhardt hasn't opened his souvenir cave in the flagship town of South Alsace? Because he's convinced of the need for local shops! He carefully selects his products at fairs. Always by feel. The store's flagship product is its magnificent gourmet baskets (over fifty), available all year round. Since 1977, the Hertzog family has been managing its 7.5 hectare estate using sustainable viticulture methods, particularly in the area known as Bildstoecklé (future^1er Cru). The range of Hertzog wines covers all the specificities of Alsace, in various ranges. Some of the wines are matured in the Cave des Hospices de Strasbourg. The estate also offers Alsace crémants (brut, white, rosé) as well as Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles. Do not hesitate to stop by the charming tasting cellar of the Hertzog family, you will be well received!

This estate is world-famous for the personality of its owner, Christian Binner, a passionate winegrower and president of the Association des Vins Libres. For over 20 years, he has managed his estate biodynamically, opting for a vinification process with no added inputs. The climate-controlled sandstone and Douglas fir winery is in total harmony with his environmental concerns. The Scarabée qui bulle natural sparkling wine from the Grand Cru Kaefferkopf is a special treat, to be discovered in the cellar, where growing and winemaking methods will be explained to you.

Thomas is passionate about wine and people, and is a self-described "epicurean grocer". He offers a rigorous selection of fine vintages, regularly updated as vintages become available, in a short circuit, with many independent, biodynamic winegrowers. You can round off your shopping with excellent delicatessen products and mouth-watering cheeses supplied exclusively by Maison Lohro. The epicurean highlight at the end of the day is the intimate, convivial and highly original wine bar!

To walk through the Engelmann house without stopping at Dany Husser's is a feat for gourmets. A shop window like a painting, with its refined, colorful pastries. One step into the store and the trap closes. Chocolates, viennoiseries, confectionery, petits fours, jams, ice creams... A family affair with mother and daughter in sales and father and son in the lab. Special mention for the divine sweet and savoury macaroons (foie gras, mojito), which have nothing to envy the greatest houses.

Founded in 2014 by Alban Bisch, a true enthusiast, the Alsatian brand Bisch de Bruche now has four charming boutiques across the region. A tenor of nougat, gingerbread and artisanal, traditional confectionery, Alban offers a vast range of sweet treats to bring back from your Alsatian sojourn... or to devour selfishly without sulking in pleasure!
