Les Délices de Sophie is above all a family cookie factory that created the Simbòls, a cookie that is now emblematic of Figeac, and makes sweet cakes or aperitif cookies with a maximum of locally produced ingredients. A local child, Christophe Ratz learned the trade in England and Belgium to come back to create his own craft brewery, thus reviving an old tradition lost in Quercy. The brewer brought his hops from the North and his barley malt from the Centre, then the alchemy was forged in Fontanes, a small and quiet town. From its vats comes out a top fermentation beer, unpasteurized, with a rich flavour, whether blond, white, brown or amber. A very simple welcome that smells of authenticity, common sense and the know-how of the pure vine grower. Jacques Jouve, who has since been succeeded by his son Didier and grandson Léon, whose family has been producing Cahors wine on the same property for more than three centuries, could have been lou prince, the ancestor who delivered wine to the king of France. The estate is spread over 24 hectares of vines and 24 hectares of hazelnut groves, the planting of which began in 1973. Stéphane Vettoretti launched this artisanal brewery in Montcuq in 2015. Since then, his little Rapiette - named after the small endemic lizard found on the logo - has made a nice place for itself in the local brewing landscape. He starts his adventure with two beers, a blonde and a redhead, then quickly a brunette completes the offer. His range was then expanded with a Lager, a bottom-fermented beer, and finally a white, slightly acidic beer.

The 9th generation will soon take over the domain with Fabien and Vincent, the children of Thierry and Marie-Hélène. Heirs to a long tradition, the Baudel family works a 7-hectare vineyard with manual harvesting. You will be able to taste the Tradition - 75% malbec and 25% merlot, Prestige (2005) - 100% malbec, rosé (cabernet sauvignon), dry white and sweet white. The Camp del Saltre vineyard, literally "the field of the vine tailor", is a small family-run vineyard covering 20 hectares of vines in the heart of the Cahors appellation. Dominique and Gérard Delbru work there on 3 vintages: the Château Camp del Saltre, supple, round on the palate, the Chevalier de Malcoste, aged a 1 in barrels, slightly vanilla flavoured, and the Revélation, aged 18 months in new barrels and composed of 100% auxerrois, with black fruit aromas. The Jouffreau family maintains a 25-hectare vineyard. It is one of the souls of the Cahors appellation, whose history is retraced by 30 murals in the underground cellars. Malbec is the king grape variety. Traditionally vinified after being harvested by hand for the old vines, its maturing in oak barrels produces elegant wines with balanced, coated tannins and long ageing potential, which the property's collection of vintages bears witness to. The Domaine des Gravalous extends over 24 hectares between Puy-l'Evêque and Prayssac. An independent winegrower, Hervé Fabbro offers two distinct ranges of wines, with, on the one hand, the Côtes du Lot in white, rosé or red and, on the other hand, the AOC with three cuvées: a more typical traditional cuvée, a reserve cuvée matured for twelve months in oak barrels, more intense, and a prestige cuvée made from old vines located on the third terraces of the appellation, with more complex aromas. Between Douelle and Luzech, Serge Bessières, who represents the third generation of winegrowers in the family, and Caroline market the wine of the estate, whose vines are over 40 years old. In 1912, Clément Henry's great grandfather planted the first vines. The generations that have succeeded each other at the head of the vineyard have perpetuated the traditions. The 6 ha of vines are composed exclusively of Malbec grapes and benefit from the clay-limestone soil of the first terraces of the Lot. The harvesting of the unweeded vines is done by hand, and the aging in oak barrels. For a real countryside experience, Clément offers rides in a 2CV through the village followed by a wine tasting. The vineyard extends over 27 hectares with good southern exposure on the third terrace of the Lot valley. It produces a 90% Malbec wine of great consistency and quality that makes it one of the finest names in the appellation. The winery is a perfect blend of rationality and aesthetics, which refuses to use oak to preserve its particular taste. Today it is the turn of the^3rd generation, with the siblings Nathalie and Robert Lescombes, to make the family estate, created in 1978, bear fruit. Mas Del Périé is located on the highest slopes of Cahors at the junction of the terroirs of the Quercy hillsides and those of Cahors. This small family business produces four Cahors wines from 40-year-old plots of land that are worked with the greatest respect for the environment: mechanical tillage, biodynamism and organic farming for the Malbec grape variety (côt). On 27 hectares, Fabien Jouves produces a beautiful range of wines, each of which has its own character and bears the name of the parcel from which it comes.

Château Les Hauts d'Aglan has already seen 4 generations of winegrowers succeed one another on this 14 ha vineyard. It is situated on south-facing clay-limestone terraces. Come and discover beautiful vintages in a superb tasting room, facing the beautiful village of Belaye, on the right bank of the Lot. The Château de la Coustarelle, owned by Caroline and Nadine Cassot, has 53 hectares of vines that are 30 years old and are planted on a 30 hectare plot of land that is 80% silica clay and 20% clay-limestone and is recognised as a PGI Côtes du Lot and AOC Cahors. These 2 types of soil offer a wine of an astonishing typicity: tannic without excess, ample and persistent on the palate, recommended by the greatest guides and independent winegrowers.

For 6 generations, Clos La Coutale has been a family business. It extends over 60 hectares situated in the foothills of the Lot valley. The controlled yields give a wine of high quality and regularity. Traditionally, the grapes are destemmed and, as required for a good wine for laying down, fermentation is carried out at 28° with a long vatting period of 15 to 18 days. The Clos La Coutale is silky and expansive and is kept at the highest level every year. A great classic estate run by Philippe Bemède with constant quality. A reference.

For 5 generations, the property has offered AOC Cahors wines. Today, the family offers Clos du Chêne, Mr Malbec, and Péché du Clos. We love Mr Malbec which expresses the historical grape variety, the black malbec. Very good value for money for this nectar from a 35 year old vineyard, thinned out by hand: a deep color and fleshy tannins to discover! The red and white tasting ends with the winemaker's aperitif, made with grape juice and brandy "le ratafia du clos".

The Delbeau family business continues the production of biscuits and pastries made in Rocamadour. The quality is at the rendezvous with products without colouring agents or preservatives, made in an artisanal way. The base of the pastries is local with walnuts, but also chestnuts, hazelnuts and almonds. All these ingredients are available in cakes, crunchy, coated sweets, toasted, palets... Cathy, Mathilde and Daniel Fournié work as a family in the heart of the Cahors appellation, in the ancestral lands of Malbec. Located in Lacapelle-Cabanac, the Château bears its name "Haut-Monplaisir" very well, for the good reason that its vintages offer great pleasure to our taste buds! The Rigal family has watched over the destiny of Château Saint-Didier Parnac for more than 300 years, since it was in 1640 that a certain Mr Rigal gave the first blow of the pickaxe in this estate in the heart of the Lot valley. The 65 hectares ideally situated give the wine a unique personality. It is in the magnificent vaulted cellar dating from 1755 that the wine is aged in new barrels. In their lovingly restored winery, Véronique and Stéphane Azémar market three cuvées of one wine, the fruit of a balance between soil, plant, climate and environment, and hand-harvest their 7 hectares of 90% Malbec, the emblematic grape variety of AOC Cahors. Here, the wines mature in vats, ceramic jars and oak barrels, and are suitable for ageing. Château Armandière has been a family property for 4 generations and its terraced vineyard offers many prestigious and award-winning AOC wines, as well as a favorite for its tasty aperitif called "la Muse". Behind the château is a name: that of Bernard Bouyssou, son and grandson of wine growers. A charming detail, the castle has a private landing stage and you can moor there during a trip on the Lot. The barge Ô Phil du Lot which arrives from the base of Caïx makes regular stops there.

The first deed of purchase of vines found dates back to 1868. At a young age, Didier Pelvillain joined his parents on the family estate. Always striving for excellence, today rewarded by the High Environmental Value Farming certification, he has driven the development of his vineyard which now covers 52 ha, spread over the 3 terroirs of the Cahors appellation: Château du Port and Château de Cénac in Albas and Domaine du Théron in Prayssac.

Château Laur is 6 generations of passion for Malbec. Anchored on the edge of the Causse with a view of the valley, the estate is in organic conversion and is divided between terroirs of Kimmeridgian limestone, red grey and siderolitic clay. They are highlighted through their various vintages in AOP Cahors and IGP Côtes du Lot. Malbec is available in red, rosé and white. The one and only white Malbec IGP in Côtes du Lot. Cass'Dale is a grocery store run by local producers: pork and poultry are prepared on the premises, as are walnut oil and fruit juices, all of which carry the AB label. Neighboring producers offer duck, Quercy lamb, dairy products (goat, cow)... Organic products also feature prominently: herbal teas and herbs, wines, spreads, soups, sauces, vegetables from Elogie et Julien in Bétaille or the GAEC du stade in Souillac. Maison Sudreau is well known for its store in Cahors, but it is also present in the village of Saint-Pierre-Lafeuille, where it is produced. Domaine des Sangliers is a small family vineyard located in Puy-l'Évêque, in the Lot region of France's Occitanie region.
