BRASSERIE ARTISANALE RATZ

Craft brewery and microbrewery

Cahors is not only wine, it is now also beer. A local child, Christophe Ratz learned the trade in England and Belgium to come back to create his own craft brewery, thus reviving an old tradition lost in Quercy. The brewer brought his hops from the North and his barley malt from the Centre, then the alchemy was forged in Fontanes, a small and quiet town. From its vats comes out a top fermentation beer, unpasteurized, with a rich flavour, whether blond, white, brown or amber. Rewarded at the national competition in 2004, the beer is enjoyed at the bar on site, where it can also be purchased. It is also distributed in regional product shops, shopping centres and bars in the Lot. During the visit, you will discover some of the secrets of its design. In his creations, Christophe Ratz is surrounded by a passionate team, sharing the values and meticulousness of the profession. There is also a Christmas beer and an organic range that will delight connoisseurs. A high quality artisanal product to taste and share!
